Considered by many to be a "giant teddy bear", Emmett is fun-loving, caring, and comical. Known for being an easer of tension, he's often joking around and he doesn't really take much seriously. He isn't one to worry about what he can't fix and he's generally quick to accept arising problems as they are. These qualities make him easy to get along with as well as easy to be around because of his optimistic nature. Emmett has a joke for almost any occasion, finding it difficult to understand why some people stress out the way they all seem to. He is also very playful and competitive, often wrestling with Edward and Jasper, with whom he is very close. It’s not easy to get him in a bad mood and he’s usually got a smile on his face.
Even with his easy-going personality, Emmett isn’t flawless. When it comes to fighting, he’s basically ‘all brawn, no brain’. He’s not great with strategizing and he just sort of walks into any of his problems relying on his strength. Planning out anything is for people who worry—he doesn’t do that. That’s also a problem at times.. the fact that nothing really makes him nervous because he can be overconfident. He’s strong and he knows it, so the idea of him getting hurt or getting into any sort of conflict completely goes over his head. If he loses anything such as a game of chess or with wrestling, he’s likely to make up some kind of excuse, encouraging the opponent for a rematch.
Rosalie is his everything. She’s his angel and she has been since the moment she saved his life. He feels lucky to be alive, or the closest thing to it and he owes it all to her. He can be very protective of her instinctively, however he doesn’t get overbearing. He knows very well that Rose is capable of taking care of herself and that he doesn’t have to do that for her. This strength and power that he sees in her is mostly stemmed from watching her kill the bear that nearly killed him. He spends a lot of time with her, loving her company without being too clingy. He is known for shamelessly showing her affection such as kissing her before leaving a room no matter how short an amount of time he’ll be missing her company.

Man, there were newborns everywhere lately. They had to be killing people every few days and Emmett got the whole concept of inconspicuous feeding and how difficult it was at first but this was just getting obnoxious. Although he was Emmett Cullen, Mr. Invincible, it had crossed his mind a few times.. how difficult it could be to take down a newborn. The thought of a challenge excited him, but he thought it’d be really cool to know for sure that he could handle it without any problems. Being one of the least thoughtful in the family under that category, he figured what he needed was to spend a little brotherly bonding time with the person who knew what he was doing more than anyone else. Having been sitting outside the house, Emmett climbed through a window with a Jaz, you home? Get out here! before descending back down to wait for him. Obviously, whatever he was doing at the moment was not as important as Emmett.
Weren’t busy, right? Didn’t think so. He smirked, elbowing Jasper’s arm and gesturing into the forest. Comon, he said, proceeding to run into the forest like an excited little kid. He didn’t get far before stopping, deciding he should probably explain what was going on since he’d been lucky enough just to get Jasper to come along. Newborns— he began, pulling a small tree out of the ground and throwing it into a couple others, taking them down. Emmett got too much pleasure out of causing destruction and it was written all over the grin on his face. However even he knew that that wasn’t enough to win a fight against a newborn. Guess I can’t just hit ‘em with trees, huh?
He didn’t really get how Jasper was so good at it.. experience or not. It required so much multitasking.. to think about what you were doing and then do it, all the while doing complicated things involving being offensive and defensive at the same time. Jasper’s brain had to work like intensely quickly for him to be able to process all of that at the same time. Of course, instead of voicing how impressed he was, Emmett hopped up into a tree, sitting in a branch while listening to his brother.
