paul lahote
NICKNAME(S): none..he'd kill you.
GROUP: Quileute Shifters
ABILITY: exceptional hearing
PERSONALITY:
Paul is a jerk--simply put. He is a volatile , hot-headed kid who can't stand people in general. Growing up in La Push was quite the experience, and it allowed him to get to know everyone on the reservation. His reputation usually kept people from bugging him, though it didn't keep Sam Uley away. Paul had always known that according to legend, his ancestors were descendants of wolves, though nobody believed that crap apart from the chiefs of the tribe. Apparently, Sam also believed in that crap, and Paul had no choice but to do so as soon as Sam dragged him in. Paul was different, like Sam. Paul was a shifter.
His minimal social life was reduced to second to none once he realized what a freak he was. Paul had absolutely zero control over the phasing, and nearly blew up into a massive ball of fur every time he got angry-- which was often, needless to say. It was frustrating, to say the least, though Sam pulled him through it until he was able to better understand his new life. Gradually, over time, other guys joined the pack, and it became a family. You'd think that with time and practice, Paul improved his control, right?
Ha..very funny. Paul is always phasing, and there doesn't even have to be a legit reason. He gets pissed off, and it happens. He can't seem to get a hold of it. He gets so annoyed with people all the time because they make such stupid decisions all the time. Besides, he's not interested in making friends, so why would he try to be nicer to people? He has grown fond of Sam over the years and is very loyal to him. He won't show that dependence to anyone else.
There is one thing Paul hates more than people--vampires. Those damn leeches are always ruining everything. He would happily go on an all night patrol shift if it meant an opportunity to rip one of those things apart. He refuses to accept them for any reason, which is why it drives him insane when Jake decides to get all buddy-buddy with the ticks.
He's not a very pleasant person, but even Paul crumbles under the right circumstances. He melts a bit just hearing her name-- Rachel Black. Yup..Jacob's sister. Paul imprinted on her, and has since been completely in love. He will do anything to protect her and he hates to make her upset. He shows her a whole new side of him that he would never show to any of the guys. He cares so deeply for her and she's always on his mind. With her, he's a sweet, caring guy who has more control than he thinks.

Oh, come on. She can't be far. Unless she's purposely ditching..which is likely. The guys were called to Sam's for some sort of meeting, which was most likely for him to give out shifts and what-not. It was complete bullcrap, but Paul would never tell Sam that. First off-- Sam could basically make Paul do anything he wanted. Second-- Sam was almost twice Paul's size. The threatening differences aside, Paul also sort of respected Sam in a weird way, so he tried to stay by his side and support his decisions. That's why it annoyed the hell out of Paul when Leah decided to piss Sam off.
This wasn't the first time Leah was a no-show. Paul knew that she was still sour over beingrejected by Samthe only female shifter, but he was always the one ending up going out to find her. That was partly because he knew that he could handle her, though some days were better than others as far as them listening to each other. Paul and Leah had an..interesting relationship. In all honesty, Paul hated Leah's guts, but she entertained him and challenged him, being just as stubborn (if not more) than he was. Both of those characteristics in a person were not commonly seen by Paul, and he knew that in his own experiences, his anger was not easily met. Despite the aggravation she caused him, there was something about her that he needed, and almost enjoyed having with him.
Then again, Leah wasn't like Paul. She had reasons to be a moron. Paul just--was. He had all this anger bubbled up inside of him with no clue as to why it was there. Leah had lost a father and a companion, all in a very short time period. Paul felt slightly sympathetic deep down inside of him, but he would never admit it to her. He would never even show it--not comfortably, anyway.
I'll go. Go ahead and start. Talk about--important tribe stuff-- he muttered before running off on two feet. He wanted to be on four, but he didn't feel like going through the whole 'find a bush to put the pants on before approaching Leah' thing. As a wolf, he could hear ten times more accurately, though he didn't think that'd do much good in finding her if she didn't want to be found. He could also run about three times as fast as a wolf, though he knew that wouldn't do anything to help him find Leah. If she didn't want him to find her, she'd be faster by a long shot.
Surprisingly, he didn't have to go far to see the shadow of her short, black hair blowing in the breeze. He approached her from behind, arms crossed. You're not even facing the right way. The least you could do is make it look like you were on your way.
