Hi Tala!
If you're reading this, that means you left your room, so, good job! I just wanted you to know I took the car. So, don't freak out when you notice its missing and think it was stolen by some crazy psychopathic killer or something. And stop making that face I know you're making because you weren't going to use it anyway. And I'm a perfectly capable driver. So don't try that argument either. And remember, I love you! And your math book may or may not be hidden under my bed (that's how sure I am you aren't actually going to see this note)
Your favorite sister in the universe
Jacki!
Jacki didn't even bother rereading the note before sweeping up the paper and attempting to find something to stick it to the refrigerator with. Tape.. why was their no tape. Whatever, glue worked. She took the glue stick and rubbed it all over the door before slapping the rainbow colored sticky note on it. There, responsible deed for the day done. She grabbed the car keys and her bag (which is apparently a messenger bag, idk it looks like mine) and headed out to the car. She backed out of the driveway very careful not to crash into a tree or something (if she was going to have an accident it needed to be far away from her brother, obviously.) Jacki knew how to drive, although the state of Washington didn't necessarily agree. It didn't disagree either. Technically, Jacki had never made an effort to go through all the formalities of getting a license. Which meant that she could have been a totally capable driver, ooor she could have been a hazard to everyone on the road… and some people not on the road like for a good few miles. Both were pretty likely possibilities. It wasn't like the park was far though. I mean, she totally could have walked there. But this was more fun. She only got through singing three of the songs on her CD before she was stopping the car and… okay, near tree collision, but it was all good, she stopped in time. The tree shouldn't have been so close to the parking spot anyway. That was dangerous. For the tree. Trees had rights too. Yeah. And so did…squirrels! Yes, there were squirrels. Real squirrels. Not the kind that ran around in Jacki's head after she'd had too much caffeine. But the real, cute, fuzzy ones that lived in trees and ate acorns. And of course, both squirrels were equally as distracting. Hence the, yanno, ooh squirrel! Yeah. Because how else do you point out a squirrel. Certainly not calmly. Two of them had run down the tree (probably scared by the car) and one of them stopped and looked at her. "Hi!" She smiled brightly and held her hand out. The squirrel moved towards her and then there was another loud noise from the street and it ran away. So Jacki did the reasonable thing. She was going to follow it and see where it was going. Maybe there was a secret squirrel lair or something that nobody else knew about. I mean, anything was possible. So she ran deeper into the forest where there were lots more trees and squirrels and she sort of lost the one shed been chasing because she'd gotten distracted by other ones. "You're going to be Alex.. and you're going to be Casey… and you're going to be Ryan." They needed names, of course. Although, they might have already had squirrel names, it only made sense they had people names too. I mean, people translated their names into different languages all the time.. or something. So, Jacki was making friends with squirrels, and somehow she ended up deciding to climb into a tree (it seemed like the most likely place for the secret lair to be) and so she was sitting there, looking around, and it was kind of getting boring until she noticed someone else walking around. She waited until the girl was under her before letting go of the branch, dropping down so that she was hanging upside-down. "Boo!"
