She had been pushed into classes and a school that already started. While normally Will would care less about catching up and working on her grades, she had promised her older brother that she would be different when it came to school this year. And that she would also find a part-time job. Something she managed to achieve the other day at the school’s on campus sports bar. Apparently her swimmers body was the thing that won them over. Well that and her personality. The girl had only been in the area for a little bit and she was making friends left and right. Of course none that she would ever consider becoming her best friend. That slot was still open for someone who could keep up with her mentality on a daily basis. But anyways, Willow needed help catching up in some classes and she had asked her many friends what she should do. And the majority of them pointed her in the direction of one person, Tala White. Apparently the boy was a genius and in advance classes. And according to some other people he was relatively nice. So Willow sought him out and he seemed all for helping her out. But then things got a little weird. He had told her to meet him at his house for help and that he wanted her to meet his sister.
After some coaxing from one brother and arguing from another brother, Willow realized that making a friend while catching up on classes wouldn’t be such a bad idea. So she agreed. After grabbing an energy drink, something she did not really need or should have, and got in her car. Willow quickly looked at and memorized the directions she printed and was off. It didn’t take long for her to get to the Whites’ residence and certainly didn’t take long to find a parking spot on their street. The woman didn’t really know what to bring other than a notebook and a writing utensil. The girl pounded up the front porch in her gym shoes and yoga pants. Nothing like looking like jock about to going to get tutor by a nerd and befriend a nerd’s sister. She wondered what the girl was even like; hopefully she was at least nice. If she was nice than Willow could tolerate any other personality trait she had. Willow quickly rang the doorbell twice, spastically. She bit her bottom lip and glanced around waiting for someone to answer the door. Hopefully he was home; he was the one that set the time. Granted she was about ten minutes late, and to apologize for that, she had baked goods in her bag. Again Willow didn’t need more sugar but she figured it might help to keep her awake during the tutoring.
Will turned back to the door when she heard the lock turn. A grin formed on her face ready to greet whoever opened the door. It was a small girl, with some similar features to Tala. This must be the sister he wanted her to meet. Of course she wasn’t going to say that right away. She thought it was odd of Tala to ask her about it in the first place. She wasn’t about to freak out a stranger by carrying the message. So she went with something typical and normal. “Hi, I’m Willow. Is Tala here?”

It was all Tala's fault. Okay, I know I start every post off like that but seriously- all Tala's fault. Everything. It was a very normal day in the White household. Jacki was in the living room, watching a horror movie, laughing at the stupid protagonists who clearly had less survival skills than she did, while jumping on the couch. Tala was in his hermit cave doing nothing to contribute to society or better the word (I'm not really sure how watching horror movies and jumping on the couch betters the world but it's Jacki she'd come up with an explanation is she needed to). The movie was just about to reach a climactic murder scene when someone rang the doorbell.. multiple times… hm, maybe they were running from the chainsaw killer too. Jacki jumped off of the back of the couch gracefully and opened up the door without bothering to ask who was there. She never really got that rule. Like.. if she knew someone was coming she knew who was there and if someone wanted to kill her they weren't going to say 'hey im some psychopath pedo' they were gonna be like 'im your tutor'…that girl was weird. Anyway yeah, if Jacki really wanted to know who was there she would have opened a window but she didn't so she just swung the door open. "Hi, I'm Willow. Is Tala here?" She made a funny face. "You're here to see Tala? As in, like, you voluntarily drove to our house… to see Tala? Tala has friends? But you look normal! No nerd clothes or… Wait- are you a human? Never mind. Are you sure you came to the right house? Tala White? Short, geeky, antisocial guy? Of course he's home, he doesn't have a life. Oh, I'm Jacki!" Pft, typical and normal. Yeah, the difference between Jacki and Willow was that Jacki didn't have that setting. Well, I mean, she could bullshit with the best of them when she needed to but… a nice normal not ugly nerdy or like three hundred year old girl had just come to see Tala. She was a little shell shocked. "TALA GET DOWN HERE SOMEONE THINKS THEY WANT TO SEE YOU AND I DONT KNOW HOW LONG THE BRAINWASHING WILL LAST?"

He should have known it was a bad idea. He just wanted Jacki to have some normal influence in her life. Clearly from the response she had with Willow being at the door, she needed it. Tala had been absorbed in a crossword puzzle on his bed and didn’t hear the knock at the door. He did hear a bit of Jacki’s rambling, though he assumed she was just like talking to the television… or the wall… or herself. It wasn’t until she called him downstairs that he realized it was Willow. He rolled his eyes and walked downstairs, smiling and nodding at Willow. ”Hi—this is my sister. She’s not human,” he said as if she was a four year old. ”And she’s not brainwashed.” He walked over toward the doorway and gestured toward Willow. ”Jacki, this is a human being and you need to avoid driving her away with your shenanigans.” He wanted it to work out a lot less than it actually did end up working out for the record. ”Willow, you being new here, I figured you could use a…” Person? Nope… that wasn’t what she was called… ”Jacki.”

Willow assumed it was his sister Jacki. The one she was supposed to meet. And sure enough after the girl asked her a million and one questions she was proven correct. “Yes, yes, we are more of acquaintances, yes I’m human but the whole normal thing is up for debate, I hope this is the right house, yes that guy!” Willow tried her best to answer all of her questions in succession. Hopefully Jacki followed her like she just did with Jacki. Will didn’t understand why it was so shocking that someone would be looking for Tala. Yea sure he didn’t talk much at school and was a geek by every definition in the dictionary. But he seemed normal and relatively nice. Surely he had one or two friends. It shouldn’t have been that strange. Then again he had asked Willow to come over and meet Jacki out of nowhere, that was slightly strange. But nothing that would warrant a red flag of some sort. Though the girl did get a little scared when Jacki mentioned brain washing. Willow was pretty sure her brain was impenetrable, she was just that awesome. And anybody that did break her mental walls surely didn’t stay in her mind long. Nobody would have the patience for that madness. Well nobody sane. The girl was glad to see Tala finally come down the stairs. She smiled at him, and returned his nod with a thumb up. ”This is my sister. She’s not human.” “Seriously?” Willow let out a laugh, of course Jacki was human, it wasn’t like there were other species out there. “Are you Plutonian?!” First red flag for Tala right here. Right here. Plutonian, it’s a thing, get used to it. That would be really cool if Jacki was though. Being human was bothersome with all the emotions and hormones, and drama. And being a female human was absolutely god awful. Okay so being human wasn’t all that bad. Willow enjoyed her human days the majority of the month. “Shenanigans?” Willow echoed Tala after he kind of sort of laid down the law. “Life isn’t fun without shenanigans, Tala. You should be grateful your sister can pull such amazing things off. I tell my brothers that all the time.” Second red flag. HUGE red flag. Right here. Oh yes Willow had two older brothers, one of which she got along with swimmingly, the other one was like oil to her water. She loved her brother but there were times she really questioned his genetics. It was like the two of them couldn’t be in the room together without causing problems for each other. Of course as soon as someone messed with him like Willow did, well they wouldn’t last long with her around. It was one of those sibling relationships. “Thank you Tala…its slightly strange but thank you, I think…” Willow never had problems making friends back in Texas. Actually she already made a couple friends in Seattle. But she wasn’t going to be rude to Tala and try to get along with his sister. Will was a people person so it wouldn’t be too hard, unless Jacki was a raging bitch with the social manners of a bamboo.

This girl –Willow- was actually able to keep up with Jacki's ridiculous interrogation and responded amusingly instead of angrily (unlike a certain mass murdering tutor in disguise). It was pretty exciting. Jacki laughed at the girl's response to being human, nodding her head and grinning brightly. "You're definitely at the right house!" Why she wanted Tala, that was still a mystery, but she didn't get to ask about that because her brother had showed up and was doing his best to make Jacki sound unappealing (he was obviously failing miserably but Jacki still pretended to look hurt) "This is my sister. She's not human." "This is my brother. He's not fun." Willow, at least, was making the most out of the situation. "Are you Plutonian?!" "YES! How did you know?! Are you— oh wait you already said you're human. That's okay, you can be an honorary Plutonian! Tala's not a Plutonian. He's actually from Jupiter.. which explains a lot. It's not a very good planet. We adopted him because we felt bad. He doesn't like to talk about it though." Yup, that was her story and she had every intention of following through with details until she was believed. (Or until she thought of another one that was more interesting.) "Jacki this is a human being and you should avoid ddriving her away with your shenanigans." God only Tala was old enough to use that word. And by the way, you needed to be like 800 to use that word. "Willow is an honorary Plutonian." Jacki informed, and then Willow responded and Jacki seriously had no idea how this girl and Tala had ever held a conversation. She seemed like an awesome person and he was well… Tala. Tala didn't make awesome friends. Tala didn't make any friends. Jacki on the other hand had loads of friends, but none of them clicked with her as fast or well as Willow had (oh yeah, apparently she was already considering Willow her friend. She might be a liiittle overconfident sorry) "See Tala, you should be grateful!" she replied, before turning to Willow. "You have brothers? Are they boring too? Huh, it must be a boy thing. They completely lack interesting genetics!" Not that Jacki had ever met anyone as interesting as herself.. or as boring as Tala. They were definitely the extremes on both ends of the spectrum. "I figured you could use a.. Jacki." She rolled her eyes at her brother before grinning at Willow again. Apparently this reaction was going to become a pattern. "Everyone could use a Jacki. Sadly I'm the only one, and I only rent myself out when I want to, and to people who are cool, so most people are extremely deprived." she shrugged helplessly. Poor other people… Not really. She didn't actually care. "Anyway!" she waved her hand, "Come in! We can go in Tala's room and find something fun to do right Tala?" Because Tala's approval on the matter was totally going to influence Jacki's already made decision. ha.
