[/color] So they were going on another date and they were Matt and Emma so the traditional dinner/movie thing wasn’t going to be a regular thing. There was a carnival/fair thing nearby and they were competitive people so it was going to be an interesting day. Matt texted Emma telling her he was on his way before driving to her place to pick her up. He beeped his horn obnoxiously to the rhythm of ‘Life is a Highway’ and waited for her to get in the car. ”I figured you driving would be a bad idea.” Seriously it was supposed to be a good day so they weren’t going to die on their way there because Emma was driving. He grinned though, just being obnoxious and not meaning to actually insult her. ”You excited? Even though I’m gonna beat you. At everything. Hope you know this already.” Evidently, he was pretty excited. It was a better time than sitting at home doing nothing like he often did…and they didn’t have to worry about vampire issues (well Matt was the only one normally worrying about that but whatever). He got them to the fair and Matt got out, expressing an extremely unpredictable behavior. ”Okay. I’m hungry,” he said with a chuckle. ”I know, shocking. You want something to eat? I’m paying.”

Okay so she watched those for about five minutes before becoming confused and bored, and now she was watching scenes from Merlin. The girl barely noticed the time until her phone went off from a text being sent by her Matt. He was coming to get her for their date. Which wasn’t going to be a typical date thing, since it was them. Yet another reason Emma stopped watching dates on YouTube, they were significantly irrelevant to her and Matt. Spazzing out, slightly, Emma quickly ran to her closet and grabbed the first thing she saw. Which was an outfit that really fit her to be perfectly honest. She yanked the towel off of her hair and quickly ran to the bathroom to get dressed as fast as she could. Luckily the girl wasn’t April, or a normal girl, so she was dressed and just finishing her side-braid when Matt got to her house. Yea, she was that could. Em grinned when she recognized the obnoxious tune he was beeping. Personally, I think they are adorable and the song choice is well-approved, good job Tilly! Emma quickly grabbed her shoes and ran out to the car, barefoot. She jumped into the passenger seat and grinned at Matt.
“I didn’t do a bad job last time. I even avoided that bunny when it ran out into the street!” Emma exclaimed with mock hurt as she put her shoes on. Something that should totally happen in the other thread to liven things up. You know along with the drive-thru thing, because that thread clearly needs some funny moments. Sarcasm, total sarcasm. Just because Emma is bad at sarcasm doesn’t mean Ally isn’t. But anyways back to their triathlon date at a fair/carnival. “Of course I’m excited!” Emma cheered. “And unless you can tell the future that statement is invalid and false. And I can’t tell the future so clearly I do not know who is actually winning. But for the sake of continuing the conversation…no you’re not!” Emma quickly stuck her tongue out at him as he drove. Yes logical Em still happened on a date. Of course it did. But yes, she was very excited and nervous and happy and hyper. You know the typical Emma feelings only intensified by 20. This was certainly going to be better than sitting at home watching YouTube, ignoring April as she goes on a tirade about how nothing in life is fair. Etc. Seriously Emma just wanted to move and live with Matt or Nash, not for romantic purposes. But just because they practically lived at Matt’s house to begin with and it just made more sense. It certainly would make her life easier.
A couple minutes passed before they got to the fair and Mat was expressing an extremely unpredictable behavior. Emma rolled her eyes and let out a laugh. “Of course you are. I don’t think I can even name a time I was with you and you weren’t hungry.” It was true! In every damn thread he was hungry! But we already knew this, so moving on. Matt was paying? Emma had to remind herself that it was a date and he was being nice. But that didn’t stop her from feeling guilty about it. “Okay! But if you are paying for food, I’m paying for tickets to get on the rides!” She wasn’t taking no for an answer with that one. Because you know everything costs money nowadays. And well you had to buy tickets to get on the rides, the games cost money, and of course gifts and food cost money too. It was a fair, nothing was free other than walking around and looking at all the things you could have or do. Emma glanced around the place and immediately spotted the both that held the funnel cakes. “Look! Funnel cakes!” She quickly grabbed Matt’s hand and ran over to the line. The girl didn’t really think if Matt wanted actual food before they challenged each other to things. And to be honest she was so focused on the fact that she was a few feet away from the machine that held the powder sugar for the funnel cakes to care. Something she would feel bad about if there wasn’t sugar in the immediate area.

I even avoided that bunny when it ran out into the street! ”You almost crashed into a tree in the process!” He laughed as she got her shoes on, turning on the radio as she got all obnoxious. Sometimes he didn’t know where she got her responses so quickly. He couldn’t even argue with her because she always had a valid point. A ridiculous one, but valid nonetheless. ”Yanno, I have to admit I’m impressed that you come up with that on the spot.” He could admit when he was wrong. Emma definitely won that one. As he got a glimpse of Emma sticking her tongue out he scoffed. ”Em, you can’t do that while I’m driving. It compels me to do it to you, which could distract me and cause me to crash the car.” Hanging out with Emma was certainly causing the rambling to rub off. I don’t think I can even name a time I was with you and you weren’t hungry. He gasped. ”You are sassy today—I’m highly offended by that comment.” Obviously he was completely joking, and he had no problem paying for her. Though he didn’t want her paying for him at all, he knew he couldn’t get her to let him pay for everything. I’m paying for tickets to get on the rides! ”Fiiine, but we’re going to have to buy a lot of food to even out the costs.” He had no problem with that. He just wanted sugar. When she pointed out the funnel cake, he was dragged over there, though just as excited as she was. ”You have funnel cake vision! This is why I need you.”
