Okay, it was pretty obvious that Emma stopped asking permission to use things in his house already. So let’s not assume that she asked and Matt was okay with this. Em pretty much did whatever she wanted in his house since she was there on a daily basis. She quickly sat down next to Matt, pressing play on his DVD player. Somehow Emma managed to convince Matt to watch a scary movie with her as a date. The girl didn’t find scary movies very terrifying. There were some that freaked her out, sure. But the majority of them really didn’t faze her. They were ridiculous and defied all logic. That’s all Emma had to remind herself and suddenly they didn’t bother her. The ones that actually bothered her were the ones that could actually happen, despite Hollywood’s attempt at making it gruesome and off the charts crazy. Like the hitcher. Even though Emma highly doubted someone would go to that length of trying to kill a couple, it could happen. This was why her parents told her never to pick up hitch hikers or even hitch hike herself. Luckily for her that was not the movie they were watching. Emma had decided to visit the nearest video store and buy the first horror movie that she saw. Which happened to be Sinister. It looked interesting, though extremely outrageous and predictable. So she didn’t think Matt would have a problem watching it for their movie night.
Hopefully Matt wouldn’t realize the real reason she pushed for a scary movie for this night specifically. It totally wasn’t for the fact that a scary movie was the best excuse to cuddle with him because let’s be realistic Emma wasn’t exactly couple savvy, she would have no idea that was an actual thing girls did. No the real reason was because Nash wanted to scare Matt. And not like jump behind him scare, like actually scare him. Emma rambling like she always does told Nash that they were hanging out tonight, which wasn’t surprising since the two of them spent the majority of their time together before being a ‘thing’. But then Nash got a brilliant idea to use this night as the night to scare Matt. Emma had no idea what Nash was up to or what he was planning exactly. Her only job was to convince Matt to watch a scary movie and not tell him about the plan. While the first part was relatively simple, the second part was driving Emma completely insane. She was an honest person and had zero filter which meant secrets with her were pretty much a lost cause. It wasn’t like she purposely told secrets to people, she just couldn’t help it. Like stated multiple times before it was a chemical imbalance in her brain that caused this. Of course there was never a problem with this anyways since the only people she talked to was her pack members and well due to the weird shifter mind melt thing, they all knew each other’s secrets anyways!
Luckily for her they weren’t going to shift at all during this night. So that was something she didn’t have to worry about. However she did have to worry about her need to give out long winded responses when someone spoke to her. It was a big struggle for her but she managed to give Matt short responses throughout the night. If that didn’t tip him off that something was wrong than Emma wouldn’t know would. Of course if he actually asked her what was going on, she would probably end up telling him and ruining things for Nash. So Em was hoping that Matt would be a typical man about it and just assume that Emma would tell him what’s wrong when she wanted to; and not pursue the subject. So far so good. The movie started a few minutes after some trailers and the scene of a family being hung quickly distracted Emma from her current situation. She was already trying to work out the plot and munching out popcorn when about twenty minutes into the eventful movie, the power suddenly went out. Emma was then reminded of what was going on, so she wasn’t exactly sure how to respond to that. So she decided to pretend to jump and throw the bowl of popcorn on the floor. That’s something a scared person would do right?

Emma was not the kind of person Matt would expect to like scary movies. Being a spaz and all (and she was a spaz) he would expect her to be utterly terrified, honestly. I mean, Matt was a spaz too (yanno the more I think about this the more I feel like they’re a ridiculously amusing couple) and he was gonna end up flipping out so it only made sense that Emma did too. So yea, Matt didn’t expect Emma to like scary movies. Still, he didn’t have a problem with it and he really didn’t suspect that she was up to anything. Evidently that was never happening again after this night but anyway. Emma started the movie and made popcorn and Matt joined her on the couch. He wasn’t all that couple savvy either, so the two weren’t going to have that problem. It wasn’t awkward or anything, and Matt was enjoying himself despite the fact that the movie was creeping him out a little bit. Emma was freaking him out more than the movie. She wasn’t very talkative—giving very short responses to everything he’d said to her. It just wasn’t like her. He figured she was just absorbed in the movie, so he didn’t push it too much. ”Are you okay?” It was the only time he’d bothered her with it a little bit into the movie. After that he left it alone… figuring she’d tell him if there was something he could do about it. He glanced at her throughout the movie to make sure she looked alright until about twenty minutes in when the power went out. He sat looked around to confirm that all the power had gone out before Emma completely lost it. It was really weird—like she suddenly exploded. She jumped and dropped the popcorn and Matt turned quickly back to her as he heard it fall, giving her a confused look. ”What?!” He’d figured there’d been a ghost or something the way she freaked—considering the lights had gone off multiple seconds ago. He collected himself and picked up the bowl so she didn’t end up tripping over it before setting it on a table and looking back at her. ”I’m gonna go check out the power box,” he said, holding his phone up using it best he could as a light. ”You coming or staying here?”

Lie, Emma, lie. Wait, no she didn’t have to lie. Technically she was okay, just trying not to tell Matt about Nash’s secret plan. “Yea, I’m fine.” Emma’s answer was obviously uncharacteristic. But Matt seemed to drop it after that like a normal man. Of course Emma never realized that Matt kept glancing at him. Em felt terrible about lying to Matt and about this whole prank. She didn’t want Matt to hate her and or be mad at her. But seriously, the girl would not pass up this opportunity. It was too good to be true! Later she would just bake him lots and lots of baked goods; and make him meals until he was no longer mad at her. Em knew that the way to Matt’s heart was through his stomach. And luckily she could cook and bake! Once again, things she learned on YouTube. If it wasn’t for that website this girl wouldn’t know how to do anything. Well that and school. While school was generally boring it did have some interesting things to teach a person. But anywhosle! For the record Emma did not explode, she had a delayed reaction! And to be fair, Emma is not Gwen or Bridgette or Devon…she’s a terrible actor and so the popcorn throwing seconds later was the best that Nash was going to get. So the two boys would just have to deal with it! “I got scared,” Emma blurted out when she got Matt’s attention. Okay the fact that her throwing the popcorn scared him more than the lights going out in the middle of a scary movie either said something about Matt or said something about Emma.
She watched her boyfriend pick up the mess she made before he declared that he was leaving. Now Emma didn’t know about this whole relationship thing but she was pretty sure leaving your girlfriend in the dark house was grounds for some sort of argument. Especially since they were in the middle of a scary movie. For crying out loud, you just don’t do those things. But Emma wasn’t going to say anything because she could just be over thinking the whole thing. The girl quickly jumped up to her feet, literally jumping up. “I’m coming with, definitely coming with!” Emma proclaimed. “I would be a pure idiot to stay in a dark house by myself. I have seen all the movies. It never ends well for the couple when one decides to leave the room. Of course it seems the character that survives in the end is always the virgin, so if that’s the case I don’t really have anything to worry about.” Thank god the room was dark, Matt wouldn’t have to see how red her cheeks were. Emma never swears and very, very rarely mentions anything about sex and virginity. But she didn’t have a filter, something that she normally loves about herself…except when it comes to things she didn’t even want to talk about. Those rare, rare moments. Emma waited for Matt to start walking and she quickly followed close behind. Okay, so despite Emma’s logical mind she started thinking of all the terrible things that could be lurking in shadows. She had to quickly remind herself that she was a shifter, horror movies were illogical, and Nash was the cause of the power outage. However she was still a teenage girl with an over active brain. “Matt…um, not to sound like a needy girlfriend, because that’s a turn off I hear. But can I hold your hand?” A bar fight was no problem for Emma, watching horror movies was no problem for Emma. Walking through a dark house that was caused by her friend that she knew was going to happen apparently was a problem for her. There was always the theory that if she acted scared enough Matt might start freaking out.

Huh? Yea, I’m fine. She wasn’t fine…and Matt was keeping an eye on her. For the record food would definitely help Matt forget about the unfortunate events that were about to unfold but he’s not saying that or anything. He was too busy being weirded out to worry about Emma not rambling. First there was the quiet thing but then there was the spazzing thing and the lights and the whole thing was seeming a lot more weird now that Matt was realizing that they were all happening together. I got scared, Matt grinned a little, sort of amused but not wanting her to be freaked out. ”I noticed.” He really wasn’t sure what was going on and he figured Emma was definitely hiding something but whatever it was she was putting a lot of effort into not sharing it. For that reason, again, Matt wasn’t going to push it until it was necessary. The lights going out wasn’t going to be a big deal until other shit started to get added on. The power went out sometimes. Matt lived in a shitty place. It happened. When Emma ranted about not being left behind Matt was just sort of amused. ”Em, no one’s in the house,” he said with a weird look, though he didn’t mind her going. He ignored the virgin part because well Emma wasn’t the only virgin and Matt, too, was feeling a little awkward about that so they were both pretty happy the lights were out. …so if that’s the case I don’t really have anything to worry about. ”No, you don’t. I promise.” Emma legitimately seemed freaked out…which Matt didn’t really get. It was a common thing to lose power… in case that hasn’t been mentioned enough times. Though Emma wasn’t aggravating him. He didn’t mind it. Matt…um, not to sound like a needy girlfriend, because that’s a turn off I hear. Matt laughed. ”Em, you’re fine. What’s up?” But can I hold your hand? ”Mhm, c’mon,” he said, taking her hand and heading to the power box. He opened the box and flipped the appropriate switches. When that was unsuccessful, confused, he flipped them back, waited about thirty seconds, and nothing. ”That’s… that’s weird.” He was starting to sound a little nervous, mostly just not understanding why the power was out. ”I guess we just hafta sit around and wait for it,” he said with uncertainty, supposing they could hang out and wait a few minutes and it’d all fix itself. He headed back toward the living room, keeping his phone out as a dim light.

Like she was feeling like John Wayne Gacy right now. Or Ted Bundy, she was just feeling terrible and guilt ridden. The girl was thinking about coming out and telling Matt. But she promised Nash she wouldn’t say anything. But Matt was being sweet and…EMMA COULD JUST NOT HANDLE IT. She tried not to hyperventilate but she was not successful. It wasn’t because she was scared. She was feeling guilty. This is what happens when you try to get Emma to do something bad. Or get her to keep a secret. It’s just not a good idea. Emma liked to tease Matt and Nash. But seriously, Em was a pretty nice girl. She apologized to Luke a million and one times for just spilling coffee on him. Emma just had to remind herself that Matt wouldn’t be made at her for eternity. But still, he was just being so sweet! Why couldn’t he be a jerk for once? Why couldn’t he be moody? Seriously?! “YOU DON’T KNOW THAT!” Emma yelled at him. Matt didn’t know who was in the house. Hell Emma didn’t even know if Nash was in the house or not. Honestly she had no idea what the man had planned. Other than scaring the crap out Matt. While Em thought it would fun to do and was probably going to laugh later, she was not feeling so good about it right now. “You shouldn’t assume things Matt, that could get you killed! Don’t be a hero!” Okay seriously if Nash did start doing stuff and occupying Emma’s mind she was going to explode. Secrets and her just didn’t mix. Pranks, yea, she tried them but the guilt was just too much. She liked teasing her friends and joking around with them but she knew how terrified Matt was going to be and that was just too much. Especially since he was being so nice!
Calming herself down, she reminded that she volunteered for this. And that it was going to be funny. And someday Matt would laugh about it too. It was just a harmless prank, that’s all. Once she wasn’t freaking out anymore and decided to ignore the overwhelming guilt, she smiled at Matt when he comforted her. Trying to not let that bother her. And then he willing took her hand before heading to the power box. Oh god, she was such a terrible girlfriend. Awful, awful. This was just…she wasn’t Quinn or Willow or Tonks. While she wasn’t annoyingly innocent, the girl did not like hurting people. Especially people she liked. But she once again reminded herself that everything was going to be fine. And this was something she just needed to get out of her system. Every girl her age pulled pranks so she had to pull one eventually. It was going to be fine. Once they got outside, she let go of his hand so he could look at the power box. Em glanced around trying to see if she could find Nash and sure enough there he was. Motioning for her to come to him. She glanced nervously and guiltily at Matt who was talking and still trying to figure out what to do. “Maybe we should call someone when we get inside,” Emma suggested as Matt turned around and headed towards the living room. Biting her lower lip, Emma very quietly ran over to where Nash was hiding. Once she was over to him, she quickly ducked into a bush, sitting down next to him. “I don’t like this anymore,” she whispered. “He’s going to be so mad! Are you sure this will be okay?” Of course she knew Nash wasn’t going to listen to her. Emma was wondering if Matt even realized she went missing.

Nash was brilliant. Okay I know I know- you all knew that already, but I mean it seemed like an appropriate way to start this post. Their lives weren't exactly chock full of excitement (I mean, ooookay, there was the time they got thrown in jail .. and that one they were attacked by vampires... but like these were all one time things, totalyl out of the blue) so it was up to them to spice things up sometime. Nash had been thinking about it for a while, doing something different (because yanno, the jail thing and the vampire thing had both happened after he decided to do something out of the norm and so doing it again just sounded like a really good idea and Nash was supposed to be my smart character..ha) and when Emma had told him that she and Matt were going to watch a movie tonight, it had seemed like a perfect opportunity. He'd managed to convince Emma that it would be fun to play a trick on Matt, though he'd kept out some of the details (not because he didn't trust her or want her to know but let's be real here she's Emma, there less she knows the less she's likely to ramble about unintentionally) So Nash had kept a lot of the details to himself, just telling her that she needed to get them to watch a horror movie, he was going to scare Matt, and she should play along. She'd been cool with it. So yeah, pointless introduction complete.
Nash knew where Matt hid his keys (everyone knew where Matt hid his keys.. except Matt like eighty percent of the time) so getting in to take care of the power wasn't a problem. He'd switched the wires assuming Matt wouldn't think to actually open the box and he was right (because he's brilliant, which you all already know). Emma had gone with him to check it out so he motioned for her to come over while Matt was leaving the room. "I don't like this anymore." Okay.. so Nash saw that coming. I mean everyone on the planet probably saw that coming. "He's going to be so mad! Are you sure this is okay?" "Em, it's a harmless prank. He won't be mad. If he is you can bribe him with food." He smirked. Yeah, okay, so it was kind of mean. But Nash really didn't think Matt was going to be upset for more than a few minutes. It wasn't like they were doing something horrible to him. They were all friends. Friends did this kind of stuff. Yeah, so Matt and Emma were kind of a lot younger and more spastic than Nash's last group of friends had been. Honestly.. the guy didn't really think about that part. But still. He had a point. "Okay. So.. now we're gonna play hide and seek. You're going to hide, and we'll come and find you in a little. Sound good?" Again, he was keeping her on a need to know basis. She didn't need to know what he was going to do. But he really did want her to hide and he and Matt really were going to find her.
Once she agreed he went back and waited around until he was able to figure out which room Matt was in (hey I'm godmodding kay cool), assumably having gone to look for Emma. Quickly he shut the door to said room and slid a chair in front of it, under the knob so it couldn't be turned. He dropped something in the other room and hit a wall and slammed a door (basically just making some commotion) and then quietly sat down on the chair blocking the door. Now came the fun part. And.. Kay.. yeah.. turns out he was a terrible person. Must have something to do with all that psychological damage which.. was basically all Matt's fault anyway so yeah, he wasn't feeling very bad at all.

So Emma continued with the misplaced paranoia. If Matt thought anyone was being paranoid you know something was wrong. ”You’re concerning me,” he blurted out, not having been able to get much out of her on the matter since the beginning of the night. That could get you killed! Don’t be a hero! ”Em, I’ll—never mind.” Clearly using reason with her wasn’t going to work. It usually didn’t. She did suggest that they call someone to deal with the power issue which was very rational for Emma, so matt figured she wasn’t going completely insane. Though soon he was pretty sure he was. He had thought Emma was right behind him… but before he knew it he was in a room and something was happening in the other room. ”Em? You okay?” AT first it was calm. He was just curious. Maybe she’d spazzed and knocked stuff over or something. When there was no response, he went to the door quickly, reaching for the doorknob. When he couldn’t turn it, he started to sound not-so-calm. ”Emma? The door’s stuck!” He shoved the door, pretty roughly, but let’s face it, Nash was stronger and it wasn’t moving. He took his phone out again, using it as a dim light as he looked around, trying to see what was up with the door. Unable to see how it was being held on the other end, he called Emma on his phone, slight irritation setting in. He didn’t need his girlfriend to have to come open the door for him.

Why her?! Why?! “Food, right, food would work,” she mumbled to herself as Nash tried to calm her down. He was unsuccessful but she gave him credit for trying. Of course calming down Emma was a task that nobody could ever achieve. The girl was spastic every second of the day. When she wasn’t then a person should really be scared. “Okay,” she whispered to him in a rush before he left her alone. Em wasn’t sure what he was planning on doing to Matt while they were in the house and it was probably for the best. The less she knew the more she could deny later. And ultimately the less guilt she would feel. If that was AT ALL possible. Which it wasn’t. The girl was freaking out. Like more so than normal, which has been established in the last two posts. The girl sat there, looking around in the dark when all of a sudden her phone start vibrating. She quickly put her hand over her mouth to keep herself from squeaking. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and saw Matt’s face on her screen. Oh no. He was calling her. He must have known she was missing or he was hurt. No Nash wouldn’t take it that far. But maybe something happened where they both needed her help. Oh god, oh god. Decisions, decisions. She quickly threw her phone to the ground and just decided to wait for it to go to voice mail. When it finally did stop ringing, she let out a breath. Thank god.
Emma bit her lip, looked around the darkness. Slowly boredom sunk in. Great not she was feeling guilty and bored. Good god, this was awful. Nash’s plan would probably last longer than five minutes, so maybe if she ventured around for a little bit she would feel better. The guilt would probably subside for a little bit. Deciding to try that, Emma quickly stood up and began to walk away from her spot. COMPLETELY FORGETTING HER PHONE. She snuck around to the front of the house where she spotted Matt’s car. Maybe she could hide in there. Have Nash see what it felt like to have a prank played on him. Of course she would feel bad about this later. Just like she did with Matt. The girl walked over to the car and hoped it wasn’t locked. She grabbed the door and yanked. And was it not only locked but the alarm was on. Well that’s wonderful. She cringed back and covered her ears, attempting to block out the piercing sound. “Shhhhh!” she whispered frantically, lightly kicking the tire. This only seemed to make it get louder. “Oh! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! Um, um, um…” Emma glanced around, while keeping her ears covered. She ran back into the forest. And you know with her being alone and not familiar with the place, she ended up getting lost. Em let out a sigh of annoyance at herself. Well this was not going the way she expected it to. The girl decided to climb a tree to not only hide in but to also see where she was. Not like she would actually know since all of the trees looked the same. Emma quickly climbed the nearest tree as high as she could and got comfortable on a branch. Welp, she couldn’t see anything but at least now she had a good hiding spot. “I’m probably going to die before they find me,” She thought out loud with a sweet tone. It was logical and knowing the other two very possible.

Matt fought with the door for a little while but it wasn't going to budge. Nash made sure of that. It wasn't until after he'd given up and started calling for Emma that Nash very careful to be quietly removed the chair and placed it back where it had been. "Matt?" he questioned, sounding uncertain as if he'd just walked in the house himself. He opened the door which had been "stuck" without any difficultly, raising an eyebrow at the guy standing by himself in the dark. "Um.. am I interrupting something?" Yes, Nash was an asshole. But you people knew that already. What you didn't know was that he apparently has some damn good acting skills. "Where's Emma? I thought you guys were on a date or something. You weren't-- you better not have been.." There was an Ally character involved it is always worth mentioning. Nash was obviously very well aware that Emma and Matt had not been doing anything however it was a decent accusation in the circumstances (and well, at this point, anything that added to Matt flipping out was just fun). Anyway, for the sake of getting from point A to point B aka from Tilly's post to Ally's post I'm just going to assume that Matt explained shit and that Emma was not there and they went to look for her.
They eventually got to where Nash had left Emma hiding and Emma… wasn't there. That was great. Nash bent down and picked up her phone, opening it to see if there was any clue as to where she was, but there was only a missed call from Matt. The fact that she'd left it was slightly concerning. Though Nash supposed she was more into this game than he'd initially gave her credit for. Before he could comment on anything there was a car alarm going off outside. Emma. Master at hide and seek. Even though Nash was pretty sure that had been Emma spazzing, there were still enough things that didn't add up for him to run outside, assuming that Matt would follow. Matt's car was still going off, and Nash approached it, glancing through the front window trying to see if anyone was inside. "Stay there." he muttered to Matt, opening the door. He got part way in, enough to check the front and the back and confirm that no one was hiding there. No Emma. No killer. All clear. He shut the door behind him, looking back at Matt. "Go get your keys." Because yanno at this point he was kind of done listening to a car alarm and he assumed that the guy hadn't had them on him already. Matt went inside and he walked around the side of the house, expecting to find Emma in a bush or something. "Emma!" Nothing. Awesome. Dammit Emma. He walked back to the car, trying to figure out what to do next and not even wanting to think about how Matt was going to react to the whole thing.

Matt? Okay…. What…the…hell. The door opened like there was no problem. Matt had no idea what was going on. He was speechless as Nash questioned him. He opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. He just stood there, staring at the guy in confusion. Now he was freaked out. Where’s Emma? Shit. He had no clue where Emma was. He tried to remain composed long enough for Nash to finish with his ridiculous accusation but he’d lost it by the time he was answering him. ”No! We were just… but then the power… I called her… the…” he glanced over at where the useless piece of wood with a knob had previously been stuck. ”Door…” Yea, there was some flipping over not knowing where Emma was and they went to go look for her, Matt having no suspicion over Nash at that point. When they found her phone, that was it. Matt was insane. ”That’s her phone. That’s not her. Emma’s not with her phone.” Then the car alarm went off because that made sense. ”What the hell?” He did follow Nash hoping Emma would be out there. Stay there. Matt rolled his eyes—this wasn’t the time. He did stay for just a few seconds… long enough for Nash to give him another instruction. Go get your keys. ”What if there’s like a psycho killer out here?” Though Matt never won these arguments and he wasn’t in the mood to argue so he sighed overdramatically like Tilly does hen she gives into Ally and Phips and he turned to run back inside. ”Don’t be dead when I get back.” He was sick of the alarm going off, so he ran back in to get his keys. It took him a little while to find them in the dark because Nash and Emma might need time to do shit before he comes back and Matt isn’t an organized person anyway. When he did get back outside with the keys, he turned off the alarm and walked back over where Nash had returned, happy to see he hadn’t disappeared as well because let’s face it if he was gone too Matt was going to flip a shit even more than he already was.

“Do you want to build a snowman? Come on let’s go and play,” Emma sang softly, almost inaudibly, to herself as she laid on the branch she was stuck on. Her right leg dangled off the branch and swayed to and fro. She stared up at the leaves and the night sky. Why was she stuck in a tree? Well you see, she got bored and wanted to roam while Nash was scaring Matt. And there was a car alarm involved, cell phones got left behind. And then she climbed a tree. Had she not climbed so high, Emma would have gotten down by now. But the girl was really high up and relatively sure she would probably injure herself trying to get back down. So now she was laying on a branch, singing to herself. “Hero to zero, just like that!” Yes, a Disney playlist was on repeat in her head. She was about to start signing another song when the car alarm finally went off and she caught Nash’s and Matt’s scent. They were near or at least by the car. Though she couldn’t see them and barely caught Nash’s voice in the wind. The girl stood up quickly on the branch and tried to look through the trees. Sighing, she glanced up and began to climb higher because that was the solution to her already escalating problem. Once the girl was at the top of the tree, because climbing upward wasn’t the problem, she say tiny Matt and tiny Nash by the car. Emma shakily stood up and began to frantically wave her hands. “MATT!! NASH!! OVER HE---AHHH!” Emma’s call was cut short by her scream which was a result of the branch breaking and gravity pulling her downward. Luckily the girl managed to catch herself on another branch. Once she was securely on that branch, she hugged it tightly and prayed to god they heard because she was not moving now. Nope. This is where she was staying until the rescue squad came to get her. ”No! We were just… but then the power… I called her… the… door." So.. Matt was spazzing. But that's definitely not the surprise of the evening. The shocking thing here was that Nash actually understood exactly what he was saying. In fact by this point he considered himself to be pretty fluent in Matt spazz. Which definitely said something about his sanity.. or lack thereof. "Calm down. There's no one else here. We'll find her." At this point Nash didn't see any reason to be concerned. In fact, he was trying extremely hard to keep from showing his amusement at the outcome of his prank. When they got to the table however, things started getting weird. "That's her phone. That's not her. Emma's not with her phone." "You're powers of perception are phenomenal." he muttered sarcastically, though he was eyeing it warily. Something was definitely off about the whole thing. Which was made obvious all of two seconds later when they were running out to deal with the ghost (yeah, because those are just the theme of the night) who'd set off the car alarm. ”What if there’s like a psycho killer out here?” "Then you should be glad I sent you back inside." Nash really didn't want to waste time arguing and luckily Matt didn't either (not that he would have won). "Don't be dead when I get back." "You should really have more faith in me." Nash had outsmarted vampires, fought in wars, dealt with both Emma and Matt on a sugar high at the same time… so the fact that he couldn't find even a trace of Emma before Matt got back was pretty concerning. He continued to look around as the car alarm went off, after giving Matt a nod of approval. Nash was about to suggest going to her place (Aprils place.. the abandoned house.. whatever it was) when Emma called their name from… a tree. Emma's scream and the sound of the branch breaking was enough to make Nash hurry over, assuming though honestly not paying any attention to whether or not Matt was following him. He stopped at the bottom of the tree, looking up and seeing Emma clinging onto a fairly high branch, not looking like she had any plans of moving any time soon. "Just hang on, alright— I'll be right there." It didn't take him long to climb the tree until he was just a branch under Emma. "Are you okay?" He waited for her confirmation before smiling at her a little. "You know this is not exactly what I was thinking when I told you we were playing hide and seek." he said quietly. He took one of her hands and uncurled it from the branch. "It's okay, you can let go, I've got you." He waited until she was ready before helping her back down, glancing between her and Matt after they were on the ground. "Sooo are you two always going to need this much supervision on your dates?"
