"Emma, haven't we been here long enough?" Nash asked with slight exasperation as they walked out of yet another store. The mall was definitely a place Nash only had so much patience for. He was a practical person, so he didn't understand why some people needed like fifty different outfits and shoes and other unnecessary accessories. He swore, he didn't even know where she got the money for half this stuff she'd bought. And even when she wasn't buying things, she just seemed to enjoy the idea of running around between stores and dragging him along (probably because of how much he wasn't enjoying it.)
The more he thought about it, the more he didn't even know why he was there. Oh, right, Emma had guilt tripped him. Apparently Emma had decided that the two of them needed to bond.. at a mall. He was pretty sure she just wanted an excuse for someone to take her to the mall (since she was still working on the whole driving thing) and for whatever reason she decided he'd bee a good choice for the "but we never spend time together doing fun things" lecture. So... that's why they were at the mall. and Nash was testing his patience to the max. Well, not really. He was a pretty patient person, he never blew up or anything.. but that didn't mean he was enjoying himself. Emma was though, and that was making it slightly more tolerable. Shaking his head, he followed her into another shop. "I don't understand how to find this fun."

[/div] There were many things Emma wanted to do today. Luckily one of them was go to the mall. It was nearly impossible, actually it never happened, to get April to go to the mall with her. Her sister had no problem going to the mall with other people. Just not Emma. The two girls were sisters but they weren’t close and didn’t really like each other. Emma was actually closer to Nash and Matt, which is kind of shocking to someone who knows these three separately. Separately these three sound like a horrible combination and shouldn’t be in a pack at all. And yea, when the four of them were together it was pretty horrible. But when Nash, Emma, and Matt hung out…well it was more bearable according to the boys, but extremely entertaining to Emma. So of course when she wanted to hang out with people her first two options were Matt and Nash. And considering she already is making Matt teach her how to drive, she figured he needed a break from her. That and it was more entertaining to see Nash in a mall setting. So she used the excuse that she wanted to bond with Nash. Surprisingly the tough ass of group couldn’t say no to the girl the majority of the time. The only exception, illegal things…parties…and sex. Apparently he was really protective of her.
“We just got here twenty minutes ago. That’s not long at all! After an hour you have my full permission to complain,” Emma stated and grinned up at Nash. Yes it’s only been twenty minutes, Emma was timing it. So she knew that after a couple of hours, men combust if they are forced to stay at the mall. She was doing it for Nash’s health, which she thought would last for the next three hours or so. Surprisingly in the last twenty minutes, Emma managed to visit three stores and buy at least four bags worth of stuff. All with money she got from doing odd jobs around town. The pack wasn’t with her 24/7. She worked little small jobs here and there. Mostly baby-sitting around the neighborhood and some odd jobs working in people’s yards. Apparently Emma had a trusting face and was really good at yard work. Along with baby-sitting children. So yes she managed to get a good amount of money to pay for things, like clothes and other exciting things one would find at the mall. The one store that Emma hasn’t hit is a music store. Out of all the things she wanted to do, playing music was one of them. If she could, she would make a job out of it. But the girl was realistic about that situation. And the likely hood of that.
“Well you’re with your favorite pack member. And we are out shopping. Technically, as a male, you aren’t supposed to have fun though. So look on the bright side…you’re with me!” Emma laughed at her statement. Yea she wasn’t much of conciliation to being stuck at a mall. But she was still pretty awesome. He could be stuck in a mall with April. He should at least be grateful about that. “Only a few more stores, I promise! And then I’ll buy you dinner, how’s that sound?” Em felt bad about dragging him all over the place. So maybe food would help. Food was one way to a guy’s heart. She glanced around and finally spotted a music store. Before she could even say anything to Nash, her feet were moving her towards the store. Music! Music was something Emma was passionate about. Something that kept her attention for longer than a couple minutes. She walked through the entrance and was mesmerized by all the equipment and the music books. The smell of everything. Yes, it had a certain smell to it. She went straight for the music books. Yea Emma didn’t have instruments to play at home but that didn’t mean she didn’t mess around at other houses. Plus YouTube was a very good site to learn things on.

“We just got here twenty minutes ago. That’s not long at all! After an hour you have my full permission to complain." Okay, so Nash got that it hadn't been a very long time in relation to the day, but twenty minutes was still a long time to shop, and the fact Emma planned on staying at least three times that amount was not something he was looking forward to. While Emma seemed to be able to navigate this place like she were in her own house (okay, not really, but she was doing a lot better than she had in the forest) Nash had probably been to the mall like once since they got there, and hadn't even known there were half the places Emma was dragging him into. When he needed something to went to the closest store with the least crowds, found the first thing that resembled what he needed, paid for it, and left. No distractions, no window shopping, no trying stuff on or bringing tons of people to prolong the experience. But hey, that was Nash. She was Emma. To each their own. Until Emma decided Nash needed to pay a visit to Emma-land.
"I'll keep that in mind." he responded, taking a deep breath as she started ranting again about how as a male, he wasn't supposed to be enjoying himself (good, that meant he was still sane) but should look on the bright side... which was that he was doing something he didn't enjoy with her. "You're ridiculous, Em, you know that?" He laughed a little. Of course, he was sure by this point she was aware. I mean, they only told her on a daily basis. But as much as they all teased each other, Nash obviously liked her and cared about her enjoying herself enough to be willing to walk around a mall with her. “Only a few more stores, I promise! And then I’ll buy you dinner, how’s that sound?” "Alright- fine. I can deal with that." He was a guy, and a shifter. While he wasn't as crazy as Matt (yanno, willing to get in a car with either of the girls behind the wheel to get food) he still wasn't going to turn down the offer. "Where are we going now?" He really wasn't surprised when instead of answering she just looked around and then started walking in a random direction
Like he'd been doing this whole time, Nash followed Emma. Surprisingly, he didn't have as much a problem with this store as he had the last few. He wasn't a "musician" by any means, but like Emma, he'd picked up a few things here and there. He had a guitar back home and so natural, he was going to gravitate towards picking up a similar looking acoustic. It was simple, not brand named, and after playing it for a while he chanced a look at the price tag. It was pretty reasonable for an instrument, but Nash usually had a hard time convincing himself to get anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. Yeah.. thinking..thinking.. weighing the options..no, he couldn't put it down. Slinging the instrument strap over his should, he went over to where Emma was. "You want to get something? I figure we could use something to do next time you feel like "bonding". Consider it an early birthday present.. Or at least tell April it is because I'm not buying her anything."

[/div] Emma grinned at Nash and chuckled at him calling her ‘ridiculous’. “I think you guys use that word too much, you guys should really look into other adjectives. I’m just saying,” Emma joked and let out a small laugh. She was called that on a regular basis by her pack mates. Though it was part of her adorable charm. She was who she was. There was zero changing that. Em was spastic, bubbly, and rambled ridiculously. There’s that word again! It is such a pattern with her now. But again she wanted to call it her adorable charm. That’s what it was. Emma grinned at Nash when he took her up on her offer. Of course Em would have to think about how much money she had and such. But considering Port Angeles and Forks wasn’t big, money shouldn’t really be an issue. The very few places to eat were cheap. Of course it was all up to Nash, she had to find out what he wanted. He could be craving chicken, or beef, or steak. Oh, steak sounded delicious right now. Emma tried to remember the last time she ate and suddenly realized that she hasn’t eaten in 24 hours.
Sometimes the girl forgot to eat or sleep, you know, normal bothersome things. Emma’s mind was always going and it rarely, very rarely, stopped. Due to this, Em occasionally forgot to do things. Like she forgot to eat and sleep the last 24 hours. Her body wasn’t really feeling it until she realized this. Something that would have to be rectified later. Well at least she would be eating later. Sleeping on the other hand, that she might forget about again. It wasn’t like Emma had a list of things that she needed to get done. Her mind just always gave her something to do and left little room for rest and such. Like telling Nash where they were going at that moment in time. She had done that all day. One moment she would be in a shop the next, she was sprinting across the mall. Nash seemed to keep up with her no matter what. So there was no point in reminding herself to give him a heads up. So when she darted to the music shop, she once again forgot to say something but he followed, so it’s all good.
The girl glanced behind her and noticed Nash admiring a guitar, so hopefully his complaining would subside for a bit. Em continued to glance through piano books before settling on one just to try it out. It’s been a couple days since she actually practiced her piano and she was just itching to play something. Even if it was something structured and boring. She found a plugged in keyboard and begin poking at the keys. What she wouldn’t give to have one of these at her house. Making music, playing music. Emma was a spastic child that made the most patient person tear their hair out, except when she was playing music. It was the only thing that kept her calm and tolerable. Em looked up at Nash with a shy smile. “A keyboard…?” Emma slowly asked, not knowing if he was completely serious. The pack never really talked about jobs or how they all could afford things, but Emma was pretty sure Nash did not have the money for both a guitar and a keyboard. Of course it would be a great bonding experience for them two. “I’ll tell April that I bought it, or I will try to.” Lying wasn’t something Emma did well, but April barely attention to when she spoke. So the older girl wouldn’t really know when she was being lied to or even spoken to.
