PERSONALITY:
Bryony was always a very blunt person - getting straight to the point was never a problem for her, and nor was doing anything that she believed to be right or just. This reflects in her actions even now, especially in the fact that she is of the red-eyed kind of vampires. She can be a bit spoiled or vain-sounding at times but she is really quite personable (mostly around other vampires- she rarely is around humans because she doesn't like to 'play' with or befriend her food). A loud and outgoing girl, she is just as happy to be amongst others as a friend as she is to be performing in front of them (though the latter hasn't happened for a very long time, as one could imagine, and she misses it).
HISTORY:
Bryony was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1891. She was born and raised in the circus environment as that is where both her parents worked- her mother an acrobat and her father the ringmaster, owner, and leader of Cirque d'Adair, as they called it (her father thought that a French-sounding name for the circus was more 'catchy'). From a very young age (since she could walk and understand instructions, basically), Bryony was trained by her mother to become a master acrobat and to perform in the circus. She picked it up quickly and enjoyed it immensely, a relief to her parents who were hoping to rope her in to the family business.
Bryony, along with her mother, was the star of the acrobatics group that performed at Cirque d'Adair. She had great pride in her acrobatics and was often found around the acrobatic equipment instead of around other people. It wasn't that she was quiet or particularly odd- she was social when people were actually around her- but she did seem to keep to her own company quite a bit. She would end up getting several more hours of practice in than any other acrobat every day, merely because she enjoyed it (and also to keep up her reputation as the daughter of the ringmaster and lead acrobat). At eighteen, she took over her mother's position as the leading acrobat and her mother retired, working as a kind of coach for the new acrobats. Bryony's dreams were just beginning to be realized, but they were cut short all too soon. One night when she stayed up late mending a tightrope outside one of the tents, she was attacked by a vampire. It had been watching her for a while and had decided, for whatever reason, to change her. It did, and when she awoke a few days later to find her parents and the rest of the circus team in mourning, she realized what had happened and ran away to live her life away from them.
Ever since then, Bryony had become some sort of a nomad. The longest time she stayed in one place was fifty years or so in the rainforest, where she loved to be up in the high layers of trees. She would feed in and around nearby villages. Now she continues to roam around a free spirit, traveling the world contentedly.
