“We don’t have that much stuff,” Quinn muttered to herself, mocking her brother’s previous words to herself. What felt like her tenth trip up the stairs, was probably only her fourth. Even though the girl was equipped with shifter strength and the ability to tire out the energizer bunny, it was a bit exhausting walking up four flights of stairs carrying boxes (that were three times her weight). She slowly and cautiously walked into the apartment, trying not to run into any boxes and accidentally knock over one of the many unstable towers. It had been three years since the twins lived in the orphanage place and surprisingly they had gathered a lot of stuff over those past years. Though the two of them worked random jobs and often shopped at places like goodwill and other places people donated to. But it was worth it to have enough money to pay for food and a roof over their head. Of course it was a miracle to find an apartment in such a small place as this one. In the middle of nowhere!
Quinn stilled didn’t believe they decided to come here. Though she had to admit the place was nice for two young shifters. Especially when one of them was super outdoorsy and loved to go outdoor adventures. It also helped that there were two packs in the area that could possibly help the twins out. Well there was only one of them that Quinn was really interested in. It was the pack that was run by a female shifter. The other pack seemed to old-fashion. Male alpha, one female member, hard-core belief systems. And plus she had heard from people around the area, that the pack wasn’t very nice and most of them were obnoxious. So the twins would probably have their fun with them another time. But right now Quinn was more interested in the other pack. The one with the female alpha and beta, that seemed to have very complicated pack dynamics. That was the reason the twins moved to the middle of nowhere in the first place. Quinn felt like they could learn more from that pack than the more traditional ones. At least she could, since supposedly female shifters were super rare.
Pft, rare. There were three females in the area, not including her, that she heard about. There had to be something in the water for such a rarity to be almost a common occurrence in this small town. That had to explain it. Quinn sighed and threw the box down without any care. It had a capital L on it to signify that it was full of her brother’s stuff, so she really didn’t care. And it wasn’t like her brother or she had anything of value amongst their things. Everything could be replaced. The female shifter walked over to the bright blue couch that was left by the previous tenants and sprawled out across it. It wasn’t the most comfortable couch she’s laid on, but it was certainly better than anything they could afford. They were definitely lucky to find an apartment that still had some furniture in it. Less things for them to buy and carry.
Quinn let out a dramatic yawn and she decided that she was going to let Luke finish bringing up the boxes. She glanced around the place, inspecting the small space. It wasn’t too bad, it was better than the first place they lived in after getting kicked out. Quinn didn’t like that place, and she wasn’t a girl that cared about getting dirty. So you can imagine that the place was pretty terrible. This place, however, was definitely more livable. But of course more expensive. Ugh, stupid money. It was the cause of most of her problems. The black haired girl perked a little when she heard her brother walking through the door. “So I have decided that you are going to carry the rest of the boxes, and I shall supervise from this lovely couch,” Quinn stated sliding her hands on the cushions. She grinned at her brother, the same grin she usually used on him when she wanted something. Or when she was planning on getting into trouble.

Alright, so, maybe, the whole moving-by-themselves thing had worked out better in his head. But in Luke's defense, it's not like they had anyone they could ask to help and it definitely wasn't like they could hire anyone. He just.. hadn't figured they'd have so much stuff (or an apartment on the fourth floor). Planning, yeah, not his thing. And so he was trailing a safe distance behind Quinn as to avoid the 'i told you so's which would most definitely be coming his way in the near future. Someone needed to watch all the boxes on the ground floor anyway. While the two of them hardly had anything worth stealing, they definitely weren't the most trusting people in the world. In a brand new place? Hell to the no.
He unloaded the last of the boxes and carried them into the building, dropping them at the bottom of the stairwell. Hopping over the pile (uh huh brilliant place to put it I know) he grabbed the top one, one of Quinn's, and started the on that trek which he must have done at least ten times already. He seriously wondered how they managed to fill up so many boxes. (And they'd left behind everything that they couldn't be bothered with.)The two of them were hardly ones to spend money on expensive unnecessary things. They diiid however sort of have a tenancy to buy a lot of cheap things that seemed very necessary when they had extra money lying around. But they had things, they had a place, he definitely wasn't complaining. No way.
Honestly, this whole moving thing was probably the best thing to happen to them for a while. Since the whole shifting thing. It hadn't been easy, but if they were going to get to find out more about what they were from other people who were like them, Luke was definitely willing to put in the effort. This was the best lead they had. (It was actually the only lead they had..) None the less, he was pretty sure the effort could wait until after a break. He was finally upstairs and he was staying there. Considering the fact that Quinn never came back down (and there sure weren't a lot of other places to go) he really shouldn't have been surprised to find her lying on the couch when he got up there, apparently having the same idea about not wanting to work. Great minds.... think alike and get absolutely nothing done. Unless of course they were plotting world domination.
“So I have decided that you are going to carry the rest of the boxes, and I shall supervise from this lovely couch,” Luke laughed. Yeah, there was the look. He could do that look too. She always seemed to forget that. Just because she usually got her way, didn't mean Luke didn't have his own methods. "You sure? Supervising is a lot of work, sis. I wouldn't you to tire yourself out." He glanced at all the boxes lying around and the bare..everything. Right. Moving things was only the first step of..moving. That was kind of misleading. Decided that there was definitely no way they were going to accomplish anything right now he picked up her legs and moving them so that he could sit on the couch too, grinning wryly at her. "Eh, the rest of it's mostly yours. We can leave it outside."

Quinn glanced over at her brother, she knew she would eventually have to get up and finish the moving process. But it was not that time yet. Right now it was procrastination time. Her favorite time of the day. She twirled a lock of black hair around her finger. Something she did when she was bored. Quinn always had to be moving. Even if it was a simple, little movement like twirling her hair. She had a serious problem with not sitting still. Despite that her body was pretty much telling her to slow down and rest. Her mind did not know the meaning of such terms. It was restless and always on the go. And to keep it from making her crazy, she moved her body around. That way her mind would be more concentrated on her body’s movements then the thoughts that haunted her. Like that thing called guilt that people said would eventually catch up to her. Another term she did not believe. It wasn’t like she killed anyone, but Quinn and her brotherly weren’t exactly saintly either.
“I think I would make a damn good supervisor,” Quinn stated with a fake southern tone. Something she slipped into whenever she was joking around with her brother. It was a pure habit, she really didn’t understand the real reason she did it. Just one of those things. Like biting your nails. Only less disgusting and more adorable. She gave him a childish smile before sitting up, not moving her legs from her brother’s lap. Why would she give up a perfectly good foot rest? And tire herself out? Pshaw! All she would have to do is sit on her butt and watch him. Okay so for her restless mind that might be a lot of work. But she could put her mind to work by concentrating on what her brother was doing. The whole point of supervising was to watch what others were doing and making sure they did it right. Something that she could easily do. Unless it was an ADD day, which wasn’t rare at this point. Okay so maybe Quinn wouldn’t be a good supervisor. Between her restlessness and ADD, the girl would probably go mad. But she really didn’t want to carry up any more boxes. What a predicament she was in.
“My stuff?” Quinn asked looking around their small apartment. No, seriously?! She just traveled up all those stairs and not one of those damn boxes was hers. Oh, no, no. She was not going to settle for this. One of them had to be hers. She sprang to her feet and looked at all the marked boxes. Sure enough, none of them were her specific boxes. “Now how did that happen?” She turned around squinted her eyes at her brother. The female skipped forward, stopping directly in front of her brother. Quinn jumped up and landed on Luke’s lap, straddling him. Yes she was straddling her brother’s lap at the moment. They were close siblings, something like this didn’t really phase her. The physical closeness didn’t bother her either. Though from an outsider’s perspective it might seem a little odd. But what did the public know? The twins grew up relying solely on each other, so they learned to be extra close. Quinn placed her index finger on his forehead. “Did you work some Jedi mind trick on me?”
The female shifter titled her head to the side, wondering how she managed to not grab any of her boxes. It had to be her brother’s persuasion skills. The unspoken, mind control ones. It had to be a Jedi trick. Sighing, she took her finger from his forehead and crossed her arms over her chest. Not moving from his lap. “Well since I so graciously carried up your boxes,” she stressed the word ‘graciously’, “you should carry up mine…and make dinner.” Quinn grinned at her brother. She knew full well that wouldn’t work and that he would more than likely tell her no way. And then she would end up carrying up her own boxes. But she had to give it a try. And the whole dinner thing was just a little hint at the fact that she was getting pretty hungry. She could feel her stomach start eating itself. But there were more important things at hand right now. Like you was carrying up those boxes.

'I think I would make a damn good supervisor.' Luke laughed, slouching further into the couch when he realized Quinn had no intentions of moving her legs. His sister did have a way when it came to ordering people around. She could be very I'm-Queen-Of-The-World like, when she wanted to. Even thought he thought they'd make much better court jesters. "I think you picked the wrong damn state to talk like that." He mimicked her horrible accent impression. Yeah, and this was exactly why the two of them should never move to a Southern state. Or really any state where the majority of people had accents. Or country- not that they were planning that. But picture them in England? With English people? Not commenting? Ha. Yeah, right. They'd probably get kicked out their first week.
Honestly, Luke didn't even know how much of it was hers and how much was his (they shared almost everything anyway). He was just going by a guess and when she sprung up and confirmed his suspicions, he could hardly resist expressing his enjoyment. "Now how did that happen?” "That's a good question. I don't know. You carried the boxes." Aaand then she was on his lap. This? Yeah, this was normal for them. There was probably a certain age when it got a little less normal for everyone else, but they never went out of their way to please people. They were siblings. It seemed perfectly natural. Then again, so did accusing each other of using Jedi mind tricks to manipulate the moving process. Doing his best monotonous voice and staying as still as possible which she touched his head he said "These are not the droids you're looking for."
Yeup, there it was. That's where this was going. He knew Quinn was going to turn this into a job for him. Stalling had only worked so long. "Well I can't do anything until you get off of me" Removing her legs and dropping her "gracefully" onto the couch (not that gracefully if you didn't get the hint), Luke got up and waked to the little kitchen area, grabbing a bag of chips from the counter and ripping it open. Luke could be as lazy as Quinn.. He didn't really know what she was thinking. She couldn't have actually expected him to find where they'd put the cooking things, unpack them, and use them. In five minutes she'd be whining he was taking too long. He ate a few on his way back and dropped the bag on the couch in front of her, taking his designated seat again, all feet aside. With a charming (ha-i-found-a-loophole) grin he announced, "Dinner is served."

Quinn let out a laugh at her brother’s accent. Yea, um, they should be banned from ever doing accents or impressions. Let’s be honest, they thought they were good but they were the only ones that thought that. They were eventually going to get arrested for wrongly using accents at some point in their lives. Because that is extremely possible and something that would happen to these two. “We clearly belong in a Southern state,” Quinn stated continuing the bad accent marathon. Obviously she was ignoring the memo that she should stop that. And the fact that they were far up north should be a big enough memo for her to stop. But it didn’t. People up north always attempted Southern accents and thought they were great. So Quinn and Luke weren’t alone in the world. Well maybe in this small town where everyone talks normal and doesn’t like to have fun with their voices.
That’s right! She carried the boxes up, so he should carry the rest of them up. It only made sense but of course. That was not going to happen any time soon. And eventually she was going to have to get her boxes. Unless she wanted to just continue using his things. Which she wasn’t against. Quinn wears Luke’s clothes all the time, it wasn’t like they didn’t fit. Okay so they didn’t fit because she was a girl and built somewhat smaller than her brother. Doesn’t mean she didn’t try to wear his stuff. Quinn was a typical tomboy that would literally wear boys’ clothes over girls’. And surely some of her boxes actually had some of her brother’s things. Especially hoodies, because she stole those from him on a daily basis. Why they would need hoodies in California? Who knows? It didn’t make sense, especially since they radiated heat due to that shifter gene. Oh well, who ever said the Donovan twins made sense. “It’s cool; I’ll just continue wearing your stuff.” Quinn grinned at her brother.
“You’re such a nerd,” the girl twin sighed with a soft smile at her brother. Okay so clearly they were both nerds for referencing Star Wars. But that was okay with Quinn. They were who they were. Honestly, Quinn would be bored out of her mind if she didn’t have her brother with her. Life would get really boring. Like seriously. Nobody would get her sense of humor, or help her with pranks. Honestly, she probably would have ended up in jail if her brother wasn’t with her. Knowing her, with her temper and impatience. Not to mention her natural habit to mess with people. It is a wonder the two of them haven’t ended up in jail yet honestly. They were just that good. It was because her brother was more of a people person than she was. So he knew how to get them out of certain situations. At least that’s how Quinn saw it. Despite all that, Quinn was still the best twin.
Quinn let out a loud huff when her brother so rudely threw her back onto the couch. Well then! It’s like that, huh? She gave her brother a playful glare as he went to the kitchen. Quinn wasn’t at all surprised with the fact that he came back with only a bag of chips. These two have been on their own for a while it was a normal dinner to them. Plus if he did start cooking, she would get impatient and bug him about finishing it faster. Really, Luke wasn’t going to win either way. Quinn let out a playful gasp, “My favorite!” She grabbed the bag of chips and began to munch on them like she was being starved for three days. Really, was there no weird body change for being a shifter?

“We clearly belong in a Southern state,” "Clearly," he remarked with a grin, and all the dry sarcasm he could muster (while still talking in the horrible accent of course). "When we get bored of this place." If would happen eventually. They had time after all. One day the two of them would have to travel southbound and see where that adventure took them. It wasn't like they couldn't.. aside from, you know, the fact that they'd be getting weird stares all the time because of the accent thing. But they were going to get weird looks bad accents or not. I mean, they were kind of eccentric people. Actually, mischievous, energetic, all around amazing was more like it. This place- Forks- was a sleepy little town. If it wasn't for all the apparent shifters and leeches running around, they wouldn't have fit in at all. They probably still didn't fit in- but at least they weren't complete freaks.
Just..sort of kind of partial ones.. but what twins weren't. (Aside form the boring ones of course.) Luke rolled his eyes at his sister's justification for not going to get the boxes. For the most part, they shared everything. Yeah, including clothes. I mean, she took his clothes, and he had more clothes than her because she was always taking his. So overall nothing really belonged to anyone. There were just a whole bunch of shorts and tee shirts and hoodies and things that they both wore... and then a few girlier things which Luke could remember Quinn wearing like once.. but he liked to tease her about it often. "Quinn, go get- whatever we can do it later." She wasn't all that fun to argue with and he really didn't care if she brought them up or not. The odds of someone stealing their things were very small. Far too small for people who didn't think ahead to care about. So they would do it later. Problem solved. Everyone wins. Glory day. Hallelujah. Crack out the alcohol..or potato chips.
"Do you plan on sharing that?" he teased. Seriously, they could both probably go through a few bags of chips each. It was mostly the shifter thing.. Then again chips apparently had like no nutritional content.. Even the ones that were like fruit and vegetable flavored (granted all he could think of at the moment was the lemon lime and sour cream and onion ones). He looked over at all the boxes, thinking which one might have the most interesting things inside. They'd need to make the place look much more interesting than it did, of course in a few days the content so the boxes would mostly be on the floor (we did go over the twin's laziness right?) which would at least give things some color. "So..I'd say let's watch a movie..but I guess that's gonna involve one of us getting up huh? Well, since I got the food, I guess it's your turn."

There were many things that made up Quinn’s personality. One of them being easily bored. It wasn’t like she had a short attention span. Her attention span could be super long, when she wanted it to be. But she didn’t have the patience or the tolerance to do things for a long period of time. There was no point, the world was full of things for her to discover and technically she had hundreds of years to do so. But Quinn wanted to go on adventures now. Because who knows what could happen after today. There was this bothersome thing called imprinting that she was in danger of doing. Quinn preferred to be alone and not be forced into falling in love with someone that would no doubt bore her. Of course that’s not how imprinting worked, but in her mind it seemed that way. “So in three days?” Quinn questioned cocking her head to the side. Yea, these two weren’t going to stay in this small town for long. That was nearly impossible.
“I’ll take that for now,” Quinn stated with a smirk. It obviously wasn’t worth the argument for now. For Quinn was stubborn and when she really wanted to she could harp on something until she was blue in the face. Sooner or later one of them was going to give in. It would probably be her no doubt, but still. It didn’t hurt to put up with a fight. Quinn wasn’t one to back down from anything. And she wasn’t very up to date with social behaviors, so she fought dirty without even knowing it. And even though she didn’t win everything, Quinn still put up a pretty good fight. Rather die fighting, than just die laying down arms. Quinn was a strange girl. “What would you do without me?” Surely Luke would be absolutely bored with his twin. Who knows where he would have ended up without her. She was the awesome twin and the other twin couldn’t possibly live without the awesome twin. It was pure science.
“What do I get if I share with you?” Quinn asked jokingly as she began munching on more chips. She could hear the whole ‘caring is sharing’ thing in her head. That was all crackers. Yes crackers. Sharing was not caring. Caring meant actually giving a f*ck about someone. And the only person Quinn cared about was Luke, and sharing a bag of chips with him wouldn’t show him that. Being loyal to him for 21 years showed him that. So no, sharing was not caring. Sharing was just something polite boring people do. And Quinn was not boring…or apparently polite. “Fine, but that means we are watching whatever I want to watch.” The two generally had the same taste in movies. But every so often Quinn would like something that Luke wouldn’t. And she would find that something in the boxes. The black haired girl got up and began tossing boxes to the floor. She opened them up one by one, throwing the contents on the floor until she realized the movies weren’t in that box. And then she would continue onto the next one. Quinn probably went through ten boxes before she found their small movie collect. Most of them were obviously bootlegged, there was no way Quinn was paying twenty bucks for a silver disc with a few unhelp special features. “Let’s see, what shall we watch…”

"So in three days?" "Yeah, pretty much." That's about how long their attention spans lasted. Quinn could "my attention span could be as long as I want" as much as she wanted, but she was lying. Luke knew her better than that. "Might have to hold out until the rent's up though." One of those pesky things about being an "adult" and yanno..living somewhere.. he was pretty sure they had to pay by the month.. with down payment. And really it was ridiculous because there was no way they were doing to be able to stay there for months. I mean, as fascinating as the whole meeting more shifters thing was, Forks seemed like a giant forest, and neither of them were social enough to hang out with wolves in the forest for an extended period of time without some really promising entertainment value. Hopefully, there'd be cool people. Because the place was definitely lacking in more obvious entertainment.
It was really pretty amazing that the two of them managed to get anything done. They were just very go with the flow people. Of course neither of them had a problem with leaving all the boxes downstairs. Hey, maybe some random person would find them and carry them up and be like 'hey are these yours?' Sure, it wasn't likely.. but it was possible. And if their shit disappeared... there was enough shit in the boxes up here to throw them around in the room and make the place look lived in and that was all they needed to do anyway. “What would you do without me?” ' "Rich and famous, probably." He cracked a grin, ruffling her hair (what she got for deciding to sit on top of him). Really, even though he'd joke about it, he definitely wouldn't be able to live without Quinn. (He'd LIKE to think she felt the same under all that obnoxiousness.) Even though he was the far more awesome of the two of them (no Ally this is not up for debate) life without a twin would be boring.. to say the least.
'What do I get if I share with you?' "That satisfying feeling of doing good for another human being... Actually, you might not get that. I think you need a conscience first... Guess you're out of luck." Yeup, sharing was crackers. Of course, sharing crackers would have been a nice thing to do since food was kind of an important part of life and Luke didn't like the idea of starving. Kay, so that was an exaggeration. But still. “Fine, but that means we are watching whatever I want to watch.” "Quinn, we had this discussion already. Porn isn't legal." Just based on the fact that it's us this reference shouldn't surprise you in the slightest. Luke grabbed the bag of chips and stretched out on the couch when Quinn got up and began looking through boxes for a movie. She was probably trying to find one he didn't like, but Luke knew she'd end up playing the first thing she found (because there was a good chance the movies were still in one of those downstairs boxes.) "Star Wars?" he suggested (even though he knew she was talking her herself not in any way looking for his input). It seemed fitting given their earlier discussion.

It was one of the many things that annoyed the girl about growing up. Seriously. They were shifters and still had to pay rent. “Well at least we won’t have to scrap together money for next month if we do leave.” The two didn’t exactly have jobs. Quinn was a great pick-pocketer growing up. And you know, the two did take some odd jobs every now and then. But of course nothing ever stuck, at least not for Quinn. So they weren’t flat broke or anything, but they didn’t exactly have spending money. And if it wasn’t for the small fact that they were probably going to move soon, Quinn would actually look for a job. Or at least something that would give her money. She wasn’t against the whole pick pocket thing. So it was just a matter of time before Quinn found a way to make money for them two of them. Or she could always wait for Luke to come up with something.
Quinn huffed and blew a piece of hair that fell in her face after her brother so rudely messed with it. “Rich and famous my ass. You would die without me.” Quinn knew that her brother couldn’t possibly live without her awesomeness. And she definitely could not live without him either. While Quinn is clearly the better twin, yes this is up for debate, she still couldn’t imagine her life without Luke. The two were super close. Quinn’s never had an actual mom or dad. She had the lady that ran the orphanage, but that woman was so absent that she really didn’t count. Quinn didn’t really get along with the other kids, so she really only had Luke. If it wasn’t for her brother she probably would have been thrown onto the streets way before the age of 18. Luke may have saved her on more than one occasion but she always kept things entertaining.
“I have a conscience! I just choose to ignore it on a daily basis. It’s more fun that way,” Quinn teased as she munched on some chips. Yea the whole sharing thing was a moot point. If Luke wanted chips he could grab them whenever he wanted. Quinn wasn’t stopping him, she just wasn’t handing him the bag either. “It is perfectly legal!” So the whole porn thing wasn’t true about Quinn. She never watched porn, but if she wanted to she could. She was 21 and porn became legal to her the moment she turned 18. So there! She could turn porn on and it wouldn’t be a legal problem at all. It might be a moral problem and a little awkward with her brother in the room. But more than likely Quinn would just make fun of the acting and whatnot instead of doing what normal people do when they watched porn. The girl glanced at her twin brother at the mention of Star Wars. Ironically Quinn was literally looking at the DVDs in the exact moment. There was that twin telepathy thing! It always had great timing. “Which one? Should we make it a marathon and start from the beginning?” And by beginning she meant the fourth one, obviously. Old to new. That’s the only way to watch those movies.

”Well at least we won’t have to scrap together money for next month if we do leave.” Luke grinned. ”Is that optimism coming from your mouth, Quinn? I thought that was my job.” He was just kidding of course. Quinn was plenty optimistic. She was just slightly less trusting and slightly more hot headed than he was and thus earned herself the title of the negative twin (when it suited Luke to make fun of her for it anyway). Either way, if there was something both of them had a lot of faith, in it was their skills and general awesome ability to do anything. (Except fly. No matter how hard they tried, they hadn’t mastered flying yet.) They’d gotten by on their own for a long time without following any kinds of rules or suffering any kinds of consequences so.. why start now? ”Rich and famous my ass. You would die without me.” ”So little faith you have in me?” he asked somewhat overdramatically, after rolling his eyes at her declaration. ”I’m offended."
Then deciding that those few seconds were more than enough time to think about his twin dying, he changed the subject. Chips and consciences. Not exactly the most related topics of discussion, but they were them, sense making should not have been expected. ”I have a conscience! I just choose to ignore it on a daily basis. It’s more fun that way.” ”Nope, I’m not convinced. If you had one I’d know.” He knew everything about her. The conscience thing.. it would have come up at some point before now if it really existed. Something probably got messed up somewhere and someone decided that they could share a conscience.. which was ridiculous because both of them were trouble makers and if there was ever to be any hope in changing that they needed like three good consciences a piece and not one half ass working one to share and I’m just going to stop now because I’ve spent enough time talking about Quinn’s nonexistence conscience.
Luke didn’t bother responding to her comment about porn being legal because, well, it was. They just weren’t going to watch it right now because both of them were cool people who’d much rather watch alien fights then well.. the stuff you watched in porn. ”Wow, are you actually taking my suggestion? That needs to go in the history books. July seventh, Quinn proves that she is actually not deaf and possesses the ability to listen to her brother without pointlessly arguing for the sake of arguing.””Should we make it a marathon and start from the beginning?” ”A marathon. Definitely.” I mean it wasn’t like they were going to be getting back to that unpacking thing any time soon or doing anything else even moderately productive with their lives. Sitting in front of the tv until they got bored sounded like a perfectly good way to kill time.

She was optimistic about her awesome abilities and when she was around her twin. Around other people however Quinn did not act as such. Which is something Luke never let her live down because he was the better twin. The more social twin. The twin that always made friends and so on. That still didn’t make him better than her, just made him slightly different than. Of course it was the only difference between the two of them. “I thought I would give it a try. Turns out I like being me better than being you.” She was obviously joking around with him. That’s how they were, if it wasn’t obvious. And of course Luke was the only person that got away with talking to her like that. Anybody else would lose a limb or two…or three. “Just trying keep your ego from getting bigger.” She smirked at him and let out a laugh at how ridiculous they were getting. “You’ll live, you have me after all.” Quinn grinned at her brother and obnoxiously batted her eyes.
“You don’t know everything about me Luke. I do have my secrets.” This was obviously a lie. These two had no secrets with each other. They were very open and honest with each other. Quinn wouldn’t want to have it any other way. Luke knew everything about her and she knew everything about him. There wasn’t anything she even wanted to hide from him. The only thing these two didn’t do together was yanno go to the bathroom and shower. And of course have sex, but that was about as obvious as the other two. But anything else wasn’t much of a secret or private. Quinn even changed in front of him on occasion. Yes, that’s right. Luke has seen Quinn in her underwear. Of course she didn’t wear much clothing to begin with. After all she was a shifter and had overwhelming body heat, so she didn’t really have the need to wear a lot of clothing. Well even before then Quinn didn’t wear much. Once she was old enough to not be forced into a shirt, Quinn would walk around California in a bikini top and shorts. Having no parents kept her from actually dressing like a normal human being.
Quinn turned around and chucked the Star Wars box set at Luke’s head after his sarcastic comment. “Yes lets write down the most boring day of our lives.” Quinn had this unnecessary habit of arguing with everyone, especially Luke, for no reason whatsoever. It was part of her ‘charm’. Of course it left her extremely entertained and also entertained everybody else around her. Despite the angry looks they would give her by the end of the useless argument. So for her to go with the flow for once was pretty boring and really shouldn’t be documented. It would remind Quinn of how of a failure she was that day and didn’t manage to entertain herself or her brother. Of course they were soon going to be entertained by alien fighting. And she was definitely going to find entertainment in Han Solo. Harrison Ford looked good in his younger days. “So which beginning should we start from? The traditional one or the chronological one?” Personally Quinn liked going from the old movies to the new ones. It was more interesting to watch them that way. Not to mention the old movies were clearly better than the more recent ones. But either way she was fine with it. As long as she got to have a Star Wars day with her brother.

Luke chuckled and stuck his tongue back out at his sister. Yeah.. I know.. the maturity between the two of them was astounding. Sometimes Luke wondered how they’d made it as far in life as they had. ”Turns out I like being me better than being you.” ”I can’t imagine why.” Again, the fact that they were joking around was obvious. I mean, when you’re that close how else are you going to act? Luke didn’t need to tell Quinn he thought she was awesome and liked having her around. Doing so would be an insult to his sister’s intelligence. Unless of course she wound up getting amnesia or something. Which Luke wouldn’t be too surprised about considering how crazy Quinn could be (he could be just as crazy- but we’re making fun of Quinn so that’s irrelevant) Anyway Quinn should avoid hitting her head hard enough to forget who she was because that would require Luke being nice and even worse thinking without his other half and it was obvious despite everything they said that they were both incapable of that. ”I’m modest.” he asserted, again feigning offence at her comments about his ego. ”You’ll live, you have me after all.” Que the eye roll at the obnoxious gesture. ”Yeah I’m surprised you haven’t got us killed yet.” Luke grinned. ”Something in your eye, sis? You look a bit like a drunk duck.”
”I do have my secrets.” Luke scoffed. ”Sure you do.” The two of them probably knew each other better than they knew themselves. Aside from just the fact they were close they were both pretty open books. Luke more so than his sister because he was a more outgoing person.. but when it came to just the two of them being alone, his sister was a lot more like him and so yeah.. there were no secrets. They’d seen everything. ”Yes let’s write down the more boring day of our lives.” You know what I’ve learned lately- Ally characters are negative. ”Hey, we drove through multiple states and moved into an apartment. There were some interesting moments.” Because Luke and Quinn weren’t the types of people who could just drive for hours without making multiple stops and being insanely obnoxious to people they were never going to see again. Admittedly, it wasn’t the most fun day of his life, but it wasn’t exactly uneventful. Of course, like Quinn, Luke as merely arguing for the sake of arguing. Unlike with most twins, neither of them was the passive one who was willing to let things go so these arguments usually went on until they got bored or someone made a legitimately good point. And since Quinn had agreed with Luke a few minutes ago, they obviously needed to find something else to argue about.
“So which beginning should we start from? The traditional one or the chronological one?” ”Chronological, definitely.” Okay, I know, you’re shocked- Luke and Quinn liked watching them the same way. Considering the fact that the only people they watched movies with was each other, this really shouldn’t have been very surprising. Their tastes were almost completely one and the same. Abandoning his position on the couch, Luke went over to the television and tried to follow the wires and get that plugged into the wall. ”The joys of moving.” he commented in an overly cheery tone. TVs were really ridiculous things… there was the red wire, the yellow wire, the white wire.. and then there was the wire that went to the wall and the DVD player needed its own… Of course, Luke and Quinn didn’t have a nice fancy TV which probably would have been a lot easier to set up. He pressed the button and got the awesome fuzzy looking screen that symbolized something was on. ”Got it… possibly.”
