Just for the record, the last time Jacki took anyone seriously she was like.. a year and a half old. Because after that she realized she was awesome and invincible and trying to tell her what to do was like trying to smell the color nine. Yeah. And now that you know what her childhood was like and how she blossomed into the intelligent woman that she is today (TillyOhMyGodWeShouldThreadThem WhenTheyWereLittle!) on with the reply.”I would tell you that’s alright however I have faith in your ability to make me regret that decision.” She gasped and grinned widely. ”You know, I think that might be the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me! Yup, guess what, Tala was getting tackle hugged again. For the record, Jacki wasn’t even an affectionate hugging type person. She just did it because it made Tala uncomfortable (and/or helped her get what she wanted.) She really did take this ‘I have faith in your ability to ruin the kitchen, my life, and the great wall of china’ thing as a huge compliment though. It was good to know that her brother was proud.
”Just be careful!” ”I’m always careful!” she called back, ”I’d say careful’s my middle name but then we couldn’t be JT and TJ anymore and if wrote you a letter the top and bottom wouldn’t match and I don’t know how anyone ever writes letter having that problem!” Probably why most people had switched to texting. Tala was still in the stone ages on that though, so Jacki liked to write letters and slide them under his door when he wasn’t home.. or when he was home and was ignoring here. It was actually a lot more fun when he was home. And then, he tried to argue her science and uh-uh, you did not argue Jacki’s science. You actually didn’t argue with Jacki period but it wasn’t like Tala had lived with her long enough to know this. ”But serotonin is IN bananas. Therefooooreeee, banana’s make you happy.”
In response to the ”That’s only if there’s no stress coming from an outside source” part which I tried numerous times to paraphrase and failed at because it was in Tala language, Jacki sighed. ”Tala I know you have some social problems, but we’re inside and all the windows are closed. You shouldn’t be stressed about the outside world. Relax a little! That’s good for you too, yanno. I forget why. But it’s on commercials all the time.” ”The mall isn’t fun.” Okay.. Jacki wasn’t arguing that. The mall wasn’t fun. But it was more fun than the house and there was nothing else in less than like a hundred hour drive to do. ”Well we WOULD be going somewhere cool like an amusement park or a concert or rock climbing but SOMEONE decided they wanted to live in Washington.” Not that it was even Tala’s fault they were living in Washington but Tala could have chosen to go to college somewhere with a big city and then Jacki could have followed him and they wouldn’t even be having this discussion.
”Come on.” Jacki skipped ahead of her brother to the bathroom, closing the door before he could walk in. ”Wait! I want to make up a riddle! Ummmm, if boring schoolwork is what you seek….” she frowned. ”Tala what rhymes with seek?” Peek.. too childish.. Teek.. no, not a word.. Beak.. OH that was funny because birds but no.. Creek.. irrelevant. ”Never mind! Hang on!” She opened the bathroom door and ran inside and closed it again, locking it behind her. Humming to herself (and yanno, anyone who happened to be on their street), Jacki double checked that the papers were where she remembered leaving them and then she sat on the counter. Yeah.. she hadn’t had a good reason for going in the backroom. She just thought it would trip out her brother and that sounded funny. Yanno, same reason she did most things in life.

You know, I think that might be the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me! Again with a eye rolling. She was just asking for it. ”It probably is.” I mean, counting everything he’d said to her after his twelfth birthday it was a safe bet. Jacki was all with the hugging and Tala was socially awkward so it was just irritating to him. He loved her, but he was stressed out over her at the moment and he couldn’t be stressed and love her at the same time. She’s made it clear which one she preferred. I’m always careful! ”My mistake,” he corrected himself, obviously insincere. Jacki’s logic never made any sense. She just took irrelevant pieces of information and assumed they had to do with each other and really all she was doing was giving people headaches. Tala was surprised she didn’t confuse herself with the way she thought. He’d assume she did, but she seemed to think she knew what she was talking about most of the time. That’s why she liked to try to outsmart Tala, but there was no arguing with her. ”But it’s not the—nevermind.” No reason to waste that oxygen—he needed it to breathe. Tala I know you have some social problems, ”I do not have social problems.” If having social problems meant being surrounded by ridiculous people all the time then he’d believe he had social problems. But otherwise, he saw everyone else as having the problem…not him. Relax a little! ”I was relaxing. Then someone took my work.” She couldn’t expect him to relax if she was the one causing his inability to relax. But it’s on commercials all the time. ”You shouldn’t believe everything you see on television.”
Despite his inability to reason with his sister, Tala was beginning to be not completely tense. She was hard to not be amused by and being stressed was hard work. Her next comment got a small smirk out of him. ”Washington isn’t all that horrible.” He didn’t have a problem with it. He couldn’t go far anyway because his pack was there and he actually didn’t want to leave them but he didn’t have much of a desire to move. If Jacki wanted to go somewhere else maybe going to school was a better idea than she thought but that’s just one guy’s opinion. Anyway, they were heading to the bathroom and Jacki was way too excited with all her skipping. Wait! ”What?!” I want to make up a riddle! ”Before next week would be preferred.” She asked about rhyming words and he just let her kind of deliberate with herself before letting her disappear into the bathroom. He released a groan realizing she wasn’t going to immediately open the door. Yea, this was Tala being in a slightly better mood. If he wasn’t, she’d be on fire by now. ”Jacki I can get that door open with dissolving cellulose but I’m assuming you will be bored by the time I’m finished so you may as well open the door.” Or yanno he could just break the doorknob off because he was a shifter but that didn’t come to mind for him as quickly as it did for him to chemically break down the wood on the door.

TO JACK MY STYLE

"It probably is." Jacki rolled his eyes in obvious mockery of her brother. "See? That's the problem with you Tala. You don't know how to express your positive feelings." Okay, so that might have been because Tala didn't HAVE positive feelings whenever Jacki was within like eight miles of him. But really that was just ridiculous because Jacki was a ray of sunshine. So the problem, all things considered, was that Tala was uptight. But we all know that already and I'm only ranting about it because someone decided to give like two world replies to everything and I can only get obnoxiousness off of that for so long. "My mistake." "It's okay. I still love you." See? Obnoxious. Jacki knew Tala didn't like the hugging. Jacki knew very well. Why do you think she was doing it so much? For the record, Jacki'ss logic was very sense making… okay that probably wasn't the best way to word that sentence but yanno what, whatever. Jacki took the important pieces of information and threw out all the garbage. Yeah, she talked a lot, and yeah, it was usually entertaining, but that was why everyone loved Jacki. She was social. She was funny. Tala.. not so much. "I do not have social problems." "When was the last time you get the house to go somewhere other than school?" Point and made for I am pretty sure the nine hundredth time in this thread. "You can't relax while doing work. Besides, I took your work before you got home. So my taking your work didn't stress you out. You finding out I took your work did. Which means that you use your work like a security blanket.. or you're addicted. But we can slowly get you used to normality and then you'll be fine. It's okay. Its safe, I mean. Well, you might feel really anxious and be prone to violent outbursts.. and then theres stress eating. But we'll get you through it. It could be a lot worse.. " She nodded assuringly before thinking about the crap that actually just came out of her mouth. "Willow lent me a book." Yup, everything was now explained.
"You shouldn't believe everything you see on television." "I don't believe everything I see on television. Do you even watch TV? There are talking animals and two dimensional people. And time traveling." She waved her arms around all gesturingly. Obviously Jacki didn't believed everything she saw on TV. Just the things that she could prove were true.. and sometimes the things she wanted to be true. But that doesn't matter. "Washington isn't all that horrible." "You wouldn't know! You never go anywhere!" Seriously, Tala had never suffered through wanting to go to a theme park.. and they not being one. Or wanting to see a band in concert.. but they didn't come to the state. Hell, Tala didn't understand being bored and wanting to go run around outside in the sun but- oh yeah, there was no god damn sun so yes, Washington sucked. Again, point and made. Jacki led Tala to the bathroom and decided they needed to make the game more fun and Tala was very unhelpful with rhyiming so Jacki went to plan B. Which, yes, was thought of on the spot. Just like plan A. And plan C would be in the event she decided one was appropriate. "Before next week would be preferred." "Why? You don't have plans?" Then Tala went on about how he was a big and scary… chemist and could dissolve the door (which sounded like magic to Jacki, and that was hypocritical because yanno, this was coming from the person who told her she couldn't be a wizard) "You know sometimes I think youre going to speak English and then you start talking and it's just.. no. Besides, you can't break the door. What happens later when someone needs to pee?" Seriously, it was sa legit question. Because like.. Jacki wasn't doing it in front of an open door and she HARDLY expected that their parents were going to be happy with it. "I'm almost ready anyway- you know, you REALLY need to calm down a little. Like I said, bananas."
