Elizabella laid on her bed reading as she had been doing for most of the time. She looked up briefly when she saw her mother stop by at her door. "Hey, Liz I was heading out to Seattle for the day. I know how much you hate big cities, but it's unhealthy for you to stay inside all the time" She said with a hint of worry in her voice. Lizzie looked up again at her worried mother and bit her lip. She had spent her time walking around in the forest since they moved here. But she had heard a lot about the La Push reservation as well. As if her mother read her mind she spoke up saying, "La Push has a few beaches that are beautiful, and I know how much you love beaches, I could drive you there if you'd like and you could call your dad to come pick you up when you want to come home." She smiled at her daughter. Lizzie grinned and tapped her chin as if in thought and nodded at her mother. She grabbed her iPod(possibly her most prized possession) and exclaimed "Let's go!" She got off her bed and followed her mother out to the car.
As they were driving to the Reservation, Lizzie looked out of the open window and looked out at the blur of small houses at the predominantly green environment. The sky was grey and dreary, as it usually was around here, but that didn't make her not want to go to the beach. Beaches were one of her favorite places to go. It was something about the sand between her toes and the sound of the rushing water that appealed to her. It was pretty quiet except for the sound of the car on the road and the sounds of nature that rang out from time to time. They soon arrived at a beach and there was a sign that labeled it as "First Beach". "Real original" Lizzie muttered, but it must have been louder than she thought as her mother snorted and nodded in agreement. She turned and kissed her mother's cheek as a goodbye, "I have my phone with me if you need anything" Her mother nodded and shooed her away, "I know, now get out of my car" her mother grinned at her and Lizzie rolled her eyes and stepped out of the car. She waved goodbye to her mother as she got back on the road.
She looked out towards the beach and smiled softly. She started walking and found herself closer to the water. When she deemed the spot appropriate, she sat down on the sand, not really caring about getting her clothes dirty. She took her iPod out of her pocket and chose her playlist and placed it on 'shuffle'. She grinned as the first song came on, Howl by Florence and the Machine. Florence Welsh was one of her favorite artists and was actually one of her musical idols. Lizzie tried to use the same techniques as Florence did when she sang, and although their voices were pretty different, Lizzie liked the outcome. As the song ended Radioactive by Imagine Dragons came on. Imagine Dragons was another group that she enjoyed immensely. Radioactive was a great song with great lyrics, melodies, and she absolutely loved the bass part.
As she bobbed her head to the beat of the song, she saw something, or rather someone from out of the corner of her eye. She looked up at the figure and offered a small smile to them. Well, she couldn't remain a hermit for long, might as well get to know someone around here.
