winifred fern andrews
NICKNAME(S): Winnie
GROUP: Human
ABILITY: Winifred is very persuasive. When turned to a vampire, she will acquire the power of thought suggestion - that is, she can 'suggest' mental thoughts to others. She does not have to be touching the person for this to happen, however she has to be in a close vicinity and be making eye contact.
AGE: Twenty-One
PLAYBY: Susan Coffey
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Winnie is of a petite build, standing at a whopping 5'1" and weighing just over 110 pounds. She has a lovely shade of red/brown hair that compliments her wide, green eyes. She is a very typical young woman who likes to present herself as best as possible, usually curling or straightening her otherwise wild locks and applying a light amount of makeup. She is, however, a mascara addict; one will never see Miss Winifred head out of the house without her mascara on. Winnie is the sort of girl that hangs out at pubs and coffee shops, and certainly dresses the part for that. She usually wears jeans and flannel shirts in the fall or winter, but does very much like flower print dresses and jean shorts with t-shirts when the weather permits. She likes tight-fitting black dresses for when she goes out, usually not wearing anything besides black to the clubs unless it's new years or her birthday.
PERSONALITY:
Winnie is a bundle of sweetness. She isn't too assertive in her nature, but she generally gains attention from many people around her due to her near-constant smiling and bubbly personality. She can be quiet at times, not because she is extremely shy but because Winnie finds actual conversation daunting and finds herself over-analyzing what she's going to say. However, she can be very persuasive when she wants to be. It's not too often that Winifred sees things she really wants, like a guy or materialistic objects, but when she does, she goes after them with full speed. It is very easy for her to figure people out upon meeting them and 'changing' the way she acts to accommodate the person's personality. As for personal enjoyment, Winifred really likes listening to music and drinking coffee. Winnie can often be considered a hipster due to her choices in clothing and interest in writing, though does both (shopping and writing) in private due to the fact that she doesn't think anything she does is good enough for others. Because of the fact that she doesn't think she's really deserving of much, Winnie doesn't really try the dating scene; she doesn't think any guy should be stuck with her.
HISTORY:
It all started with prom.
In the spring of 1984, Robert Lynn Andrews asked Miss Primrose Faye Henry to his senior prom and she, of course, said yes. The pair had barely spoken before Robert's offer, though exchanged prolonged glances in the hallway and the occasional wave. Both were fairly quiet people - most definitely not the type to approach others in attempt for friendship, and most certainly not more than that. But Robert was determined to prove his friends wrong about himself and asked Prim regardless of his fears. That proposal led to another about a year later, at Prim's own senior prom, after which Robert asked Prim to marry him. Both sets of parents thought it was a mistake, blah blah blah, but neither listened and instead eloped, settling in Port Angeles away from their parents in Forks.
Neither Prim nor Robert intended to go to college and so had to determine careers for themselves that didn't need a degree. Primrose took up a simple cashier position at a local flower shop while Robert began working in the construction business. For years they remained alone by themselves, having no other company but a dog. On Robert's 25th birthday, however, they welcomed Winifred Fern into the world. Prim and Rob never actually discussed children before, and in truth never imagined having any themselves, but they couldn't deny the love for their child upon meeting her.
Shortly after Winnie's 13th birthday, Prim got a big break in the florist department. Having been a cashier at the flower shop for years, she became acquainted with flowers and became a florist herself, often taking Winnie with her to the shop on Saturdays. Prim's company was able to do the flowers for a celebrity wedding and Prim got hired onto a bigger company after they saw what great work she, personally, did. Things seemed to be lightening up for the Andrews family.
That is, until the death of Robert. A few weeks after Winifred graduated from high school, her father was shot. He was out at a local club with a few of his buddies when a fight broke out and someone fired shots, a stray bullet injuring him. He stayed in the hospital for roughly two days fighting for his life until he finally went to rest. It devastated Winifred and Prim, but also broke them apart. Once Robert was buried and a few months went by, Prim began taking bigger and better gigs - farther, as well. It meant even more distance between Winnie and her mother, but also between her and her father because Prim would refuse to talk about his death with Winnie.
At twenty and a half years old, Winnie moved out into her own apartment. She moved back to Forks, close to her grandparents, and took up a job as an administrative assistant at Forks High School. It's not much, she knows, but as she can't afford to go to college, she doesn't think it's too bad of a gig for now. She does, however, write liberally in attempt to become published and get a bit more cash in her pocket. She hopes to be able to someday travel the world, specifically England, Ireland, and Italy.
RP SAMPLE:
This is as Alice Cullen. I can provide a link to the site if necessary to prove it's mine. :]Alice grinned at him, examining him still. How much more...uncomfortable could this be? Well, there was the bit about them being mates, a subject she was anxious but frightened to bring up. What if he didn't believe her? Or, worse, what if he chose a different path? There was no hint of that yet, the future was his to decide, of course, as always was with the subjects of her visions, but if he chose another course, things would be far different for her. How could she approach the cullens without him? Or, better yet, how could she approach life? Alice had waited for this fateful day for so long...for years. For a vampire it wasn't too long, but to wait on love, for companionship...even just for a friend. Alice had been lonely, deserted, left to walk this eternal life on her own and until she saw the vision of Jasper and the Cullen's, she highly considered attempting to kill the monster that she was. What was she but alone, what was she but starved of a good life? Now she was to be happy, to have someone to make everything complete. And that all lay within Jasper. He was literally her savior, her way to a new life and actual happiness. She wanted this more than anything, and hoped he would, too.
"I know," she answered when he said his name, but thought nothing further of it as he pulled out her chair. If she were human, Alice would have blushed. "Such a gentleman," she chimed, sitting quickly and waiting for him to do the same. She nodded over to the counter. "Her," Alice said, shrugging and looking to the window. "I would appreciate it, however, if you didn't...it'd be messy. And not only that, but I don't condone that type of...diet."
She looked to him and laughed. "Not that you need permission from me, of course. You don't even know me," Alice said softly, the last bit in a more depressing tone. It was true, no matter what she told herself. She knew him, loved him already, and yet he had absolutely no idea what was to come, what was to be. Or wasn't, if he so chose. Either way, Alice would never leave from that diner the same - either she would turn to the Cullen's, in time, with Jasper, or she would venture to a continuous search for her end, because in truth, she could not go on from there without him. She was too lonely and depressed, too longing for company, too longing for knowing. She knew not of her human life, though hoped to eventually. Even that small bit of knowledge would have given Alice strength to carry on, to know what she was meant for. For now, she had nothing. She couldn't let this opportunity pass, or worse, go a way she does not wish.
Alice watched him closely before smiling inquisitively. "Are you okay? I mean, have you been fairing well?" She supposed it was an interesting question, but it was one she dawned on for months. Alice hoped that, no matter the circumstances, Jasper really was doing okay for being what he was and doing what he was doing. She wouldn't know how to take the acknowledgement of a poor life for him. He deserved so much more than mediocrity - and yet, he would be nothing less of settling for her if he accepted her explanation and, furthermore, herself. She was not good enough for Jasper, something she knew all too well. He was so...endowed with perfection that she couldn't possibly own up to what he deserved. But she couldn't resist, not even in knowing that she would bring him down because she knew that at least with her, even if he wasn't with the woman he deserved, he would surely be showered with love.
That in and of itself was worth it.
