I could start this post ranting about about how frustrating shifts with Paul were because that what Tilly always does, but Seth's a much nicer person, and Paul's problem obviously isn't unmatched happiness (yet..yet, *evil laugh*). Seth had just finished a shift with Paul however, and it was good to be able to think whatever he wanted without being told to shut up because it was kind of stressful having to think about what you were thinking about without thinking about it (you think?). Later, he'd be hanging out with Paul again, but it would be a lot more tolerable because well one, no mind reading, and two, Devon would be there. And she was a good tension diffused because well, talking trees and stripping and you both know this is a useless paragraph okay moving on!
Seth would have just gotten changed and gone over to Devons- but his mom decided to stop him and remind him that he'd promised to clean his room... multiple days before this one. So yeah, this was one of the few times that being the youngest shifter kind of sucked. Because he had to do things like homework and clean his room and everyone else got to do whatever they wanted and there wasn't enough time in a day for all that. Okay, so maybe there was. He'd had plenty of time the other day and even started, but then he found a bag of skittles and a game and.. things had kind of gone downhill from there. Realizing how late it was, he hurried up and picked up everything on the floor and shoved it in his closet. There, done. It looked good enough. He threw on his sweatshirt and ran down the stairs. "I'm going to a friend's, I'll be back later, bye!"
He didn't really know what was going on. Devon had just told him that Paul was coming and they were going to have fun. Being Seth, he didn't really consider that there were a few fundamental problems with the idea of the three of them getting along long enough to get anything done. He didn't even know what they were doing. Devon had just told him not to talk about it with Paul because there was going to be a surprise, and somehow Seth had actually managed to keep it to himself (which, he was very proud of himself for, but the way). He'd promised to help Devon with whatever it was, but yeah, he had no idea what he was getting into. Finally, he got to Devon's house and knocked on the door. Because, ending a post with door knocking is totally acceptable.

Okay, so Devon may be pushing her luck with this plan of hers. But really, it was all in good fun. Paul would surely see it that way. He didn’t seem as uptight and much of an ass hole around her, not like he was with Keisha apparently. But Dev could tell what her alpha was talking about in the small things Paul had said to her when they went cliff diving. So of course, Devon thought all problems and personalities could be fixed with a little drinking and maybe a drug or two. She just wanted to see what Paul would be like. Maybe he would even have fun. But really he would have to understand that it was just in good humor. And no offense to Seth, but Devon knew she could easily pin this on him if she really wanted to. Not that Dev won’t take credit for her master plans. But if Paul gets really mad at her well then she had an escape goat.
The brunette had managed to get Keisha and Pete out of the house for the night. It really wasn’t hard, they technically had plans already. Pete with his imprint, she was assuming. And Keisha, well she wasn’t exactly sure where Keisha was going. The woman wasn’t open about her romantic life and really the only people she hangs out with is Pete and Devon. And well Devon was home and Pete was more than likely out with his imprint (again, this was just some assumptions the girl was making). So it was kind of a mystery where Keisha was, but oh well. That was something for future Devon to worry about. Not something for present Devon to concern herself with. So anyways! The shifter was setting up for Seth and Paul’s arrival. Really all she was doing was pulling out some alcohol for the big kids, some cards (because she was going to get them to gamble, since she’s apparently going to be a horrible influence on the other two), and a few drugs she had acquired from a friend in California. Really this whole thing only took a couple days to set up. And Seth was so willing to help her. Nothing could really go wrong with this.
Devon had heard the boy coming from a mile away, you know with her heightened sense and all. She waited by the front door for him to knock. She didn’t really want to scare her new friends right away. But when a soft knock came, she immediately opened the door and grinned at Seth. “Hey! You ready for this?” She asked with a challenging tone. The girl didn’t really dive into the whole plan with Seth but he had agreed to help without asking so she wasn’t going to waste time explaining her plan to him. “Come on in, make yourself at home!” Devon shut the door behind Seth and ran into the kitchen to grab a soda for him. While she was all for the drugging of Paul and gambling, she was not going to let Seth do underage drinking in her home. Plus someone had to be sober during this encounter. Otherwise nobody would remember what went down, or catch in on video. Not saying Devon had a video camera ready for this event. But she was keeping her options open.

He was going to hang out with Devon and that’s all he really knew. It was going to be an awesome time because after spending all day with Seth he was going to be able to relax and not spend all night with Seth. Because, yanno, Devon wasn’t Seth. Paul didn’t actually hate Seth with a burning passion but he tried to keep these things to himself. Devon was the only person in Keisha’s pack that Paul was going to admit to liking like and so he could hang out with her, have fun, and rub it in Keisha’s pack’s faces at the same time. Did I mention Seth wouldn’t be there? Paul was pretty pumped. He finished the shift with Seth, showered, ate food (because that was going to be necessary every ten minutes for the next few hours) and left his house for Devon’s because nobody gave a damn if his room was clean. In case you guys were wondering, it’s not. .:: So the purpose of this paragraph is to have a middle paragraph between my introduction and conclusion paragraphs because both of the other people involved in this thread have posted three paragraphs each and I have not figured out how to organize my information into three paragraphs. So it’ll really be two... with this paragraph in the middle. I should talk about something in character. Uum… the car ride! Okay. So Paul drove to Devon’s instead of walking because he was too lazy to walk after the whole patrol thing. He still didn’t see why he had to expend so much energy into something like patrol when it seemed so pointless. He’d rather be doing a billion other things like hanging out with Rachel or playing darts or most other things that he could possibly do instead of patrol. This was because regardless of what certain overly-optimistic shifters believed, patrol was anything but fun. This wasn’t really about the car ride but I’ll conclude with telling you that Paul didn’t get lost and he made it to Devon’s house (or Keisha’s house or wherever all this shit’s going to go down because I am confused as to where that actually is). .:: He walked up to the door and was overcome by the feeling that something was up (okay, Paul isn’t like psychic—he heard Seth talking but close enough). He knocked on the door and when Devon answered the door (because she obviously did because Paul’s arrival was the best part of her day) he grinned even though he saw Seth and walked in. Hey Dev—and Seth? Okay, honestly he was more shocked that Seth had known about this and didn’t spill than anything. The fact that Seth and Devon had even been keeping something from him kind of made him wonder what the hell was going on, but he wasn’t going to get mad at Devon (or Seth in front of Devon) so whatever. He looked at Seth before talking. If you’re up to something you’re damn lucky I’m impressed it’s working. Yea, it sounded slightly threatening but he was actually currently pretty laid back. It didn't take very long at all for Devon to open the door. 'Hey, you ready for this? "Yeah!" Seth answered enthusiastically. Following her inside, he looked around the room, which didn't really give away any big secret as to their plans except.. there was kind of a lot of alcohol on the table. "So.. what are we doing?" he asked curiously, attention back on Devon as he followed her around the house while she gathered things (he figured it would be more fun to follow her than just sit awkwardly in some room by himself). As far as actually finally asking what the hell they were doing, hey, it was better late then never. At least he wasn't completely hopelessly naive. (You couldn't be when you dealt with obnoxious people on a regular basis.)
Then Paul walked in (well, Devon opened the door for him.. theoretically, as it technically actually hasn't happened yet) and he.. really didn't look all that excited to see him. Which didn't make a lot of sense, because.. we all know that Paul really likes Seth and they're actually secret best friends. But, that was in secret. And right now, Devon was there. 'Hey Dev- and Seth? "Yeah? Oh, hey Paul." he said, pretty casually, which made him quite impressed with himself because sometimes it was hard being calm and casual around Paul when he looked like he wanted to kill you. Seth would have been a lot more nervous had he realized what exactly he and Devon were going to do, but he knew just enough to be considered involved and little enough that he really didn't think it was that big a deal. 'If you’re up to something you’re damn lucky I’m impressed it’s working.' "Thanks.. I think. But I'm not up to anything." He shook his head, you know, in support of his own argument, flashing a look a Devon because.. he wasn't an idiot and he did know that they were in fact up to something. He was pretty sure Paul believed him though, so, so far everything was going well.

Crap, Paul was here. How was Seth going to help her now? She could just improvise. Write a note, yes notes work. As long as Seth didn’t let Paul read it. Or she could just text him the plan. But there was no time for that. She could just do that later. Right now she had to answer the door “Paul!” Dev cheered with a grin. The woman actually liked Paul. Like as a person. He was pretty cool and Devon got along with him. How Keisha didn’t was beyond her. To be honest they were very common in personality. Which is probably how Dev got along with both of them but they didn’t get along with each other. The brunette glanced between the two males. Yea, she forgot to mention to Paul that Seth would be here. But she figured he wouldn’t have shown up and knew they were up to something. Because if Devon was going down, she was bringing the short boy with her.
“It’s true. He’s not up to anything. I just forgot to mention that I invited both of you.” Devon stated with a smile to Paul. She was telling the truth. She forgot to tell him and Seth was truly not up to anything, because he had no idea what was going on. Dev just told him that they were going to try something on Paul and he agreed. “But anyways!” The brunette clapped her hands and began to try to usher people to the living room. “I have planned a night of corruption, along with homemade pizza!” Might as well get that out of the way. Of course they had to know about the gambling. It was the drinking and the drugging that would have to be kept a secret from Paul. Until morning. Even then Dev could totally just blame Seth or indirectly Keisha. Either way, Dev was pretty okay with this plan. And she figured if she made two homemade pizzas the boys would be okay to go along with any crazy plans she had. Devon’s dad always said a way to a man’s heart was his stomach. Well that and his penis. But considering the three of them aren’t going to end up in bed…the woman had to stick with food.

Honestly, he didn’t believe them for a second. He had some distinct suspicion down in his gut. But… he was with Devon that meant they were going to have fun… and Seth wasn’t completely lacking in fun either so things had potential to go really well. Therefore Paul wasn’t going to sit around and be paranoid and suspicious while he could be enjoying himself. It’s true. He’s not up to anything. I just forgot to mention that I invited both of you. Well, Seth is pretty forgettable, he said, though clearly in a joking tone and not trying to ruin Seth’s time. He wasn’t annoyed that Seth was there—just surprised. And if Seth was going to be there obviously he was going to get teased. It didn’t mean Paul hated him. It didn’t mean anything coming from Paul, actually. But anyways! Yea, time to party. Paul followed Devon into her living room, arms crossed and ready for the entertainment. I have planned a night of corruption, along with homemade pizza! Now that sounded like a good time. Great—I’m starving. He was always starving, but still. The corruption part sounds good too, but you do still remember Seth’s here, right? It just didn’t seem like anything could get all that wild with Seth in the room. The kid was probably innocent and all that fun stuff. He was probably like Tilly, sitting around watching Disney movies while her roommates went to parties to drink and play beer pong. Anyway, yea, posting here. Paul sat on a couch and waited for Devon to start making food and fun things happen. "Okay, so here's the plan!" That...pay close attention to that.. because that was as much of the plan as Seth got to hear before there was a knock on the door. And Devon went to go get it. "Wait, what's the plan?" he asked quickly. Yeah, he was just going to not know it apparently. Paul came in and the obnoxiousness started, though Paul actually didn't sound as mean and scary as he usually did. Devon confirmed that she'd invited them both and he wasn't like crashing her party(because that's totally what Paul thought was going on) and Seth nodded. "Well Seth is pretty forgettable." Oh yeah. Right, that's why he's all over Paul's narration even in threads I'm not in. If he didn't know better he'd actually say Paul was using genuine humor and so he just kind of smiled in response and didn't say anything.
They went back into the living room and Seth was pretty excited hearing what Devon had planned too. "Awesome." I mean, regardless of the plan (which he was still completely in the dark about) it seemed like they were going to have fun. And if they didn't, then at least they had pizza. "The corruption part sounds good too, but you do still remember Seth’s here, right?" Seth shockingly wasn't as amused this time. Speaking sort of quietly to Devon he mocked, "I'm all for having fun, but you do still remember Paul's here, right?" He sat on the couch, but then realized that this was probably a pretty good opportunity for him to find out what he hadn't got to earlier. "I'm gonna go help Devon make pizza." Because Paul cared. Impressed with himself for thinking of it, he motioned for Devon to go into the kitchen with him. "Okay, now tell me what's going on!"

Especially the pizza part. Devon prided herself on three things: manipulation, shopping, and cooking. Considering she couldn’t go shopping with these two. She had to use the other two skills. Dev always cooked for Keisha and her brother. To be honest if it wasn’t for her those two would be eating raw meat every day. Because they thought it was normal and natural for them to do. “Well the kid has got to start somewhere! Might as well be with two people he knows and hopefully trusts.” There was no way Devon could use the responsible adult thing as an excuse. After all she was behind this extremely random idea to drug Paul. He had always been fun around her but apparently other people didn’t see that side of him. And she couldn’t help but be slightly curious how he would react to certain substances. Such as drugs and alcohol. Not to mention Devon didn’t have the house to herself that often so when she did she always wanted to do something crazy. This applied to that. Dev suppressed the urge to laugh at Seth’s statement, she just grinned. Tonight was going to be fun. “Okay, well cards are over there. Chose a game to start with. Drinking game or gambling game, either works.” Devon pointed to the deck of cards sitting on the coffee table in front of Paul.
The girl heard Seth say something about Pizza and that reminded her that pizza was almost ready and she should go check on it. But apparently that wasn’t eh actual reason Seth wanted her to follow him into the kitchen. Once they were in the kitchen, Seth spoke. She quickly put her hand to his mouth and put one finger up to her lips, to signify him being quiet. Devon quickly took out her phone and texted Seth. ‘We are going to drug Paul, using the drinks. I already put things in the beer. All you have to do is make sure he keeps drinking and DON’T HAVE ANY YOURSELF’. It was pretty explanatory. Seth was going to be the sober one, both ways, and so he only had two jobs. Two very simple jobs. Devon would be all for teaching him how to gamble and drink. Just not both things tonight. She would teach him how to gamble and they could always drink some other night. When Paul sought fit to get revenge on Seth. Obviously Devon was going to set it up to blame Seth. Of course Seth didn’t need to know this. And this is how Ally’s characters end up having more enemies than appendages. “Help me get the pizzas out, they smell ready.” Devon quickly went to the oven and grabbed the first two pizzas. She motioned for Seth to grab the third one. They were shifters and will surely be getting the munchies as the night progress. Once the pizzas were safely on the kitchen table, she cut them up and made three plates.
Devon walked over to the refrigerator, grabbed a drugged beer and handed it to Seth. “I’ll grab the plates, you take the drinks.” She quickly grabbed another beer, clearly not caring if she, herself, got drugged too; and grabbed a soda. Handing all three to Seth. Smiling and winking at him, she grabbed the plates and headed back to the living room. “I hope cheese pizza is cool. I figured it was neutral and a safe bet compared to peperoni or sausage.” She set all three plates down on the coffee table and sat down on the floor. Devon waited for Seth to give out the drinks that she hoped he grabbed and didn’t sample on his way out. “Pick a game?” she asked Paul.
