Rosalie was walking home alone, slowly and engrossed in her thoughts of love that she didn’t have. Her friend Vera had a loving relationship with an absolutely beautiful little boy. She was actually envious. Yes, Rosalie Lillian Hale was completely envious about somebody else. That was a first. She was also secretly hoping it would be the last. As she walked, her thoughts were broken by loud and obnoxious laughs fuller up the street. A strange feeling made her slow her pace slightly, but she ignored it and kept walking. As she neared the voices, she spotted a small group of men walking toward her on the other side of the street. Not walking, but stumbling really. They were all completely drunk. Closer still, and Rose realized one of the men was her fiancé. She sucked in a deep breath, and held it as she got even closer, keeping her eyes trained ahead of her, but making sure the group was always within her sights. When she heard Royce’s voice beckon, her immediate thought was to keep walking. But he praised her beauty and boasted to his friends, so she made her way over. Mistake. Suddenly it all started to spin out of control. He grabbed her, hard, and she lost all conscious thought to panic. It only took moments for the group of men to overpower her and drag her away. Rosalie shut her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her beautiful face from the pain, hoping, praying that the pain would stop…
Rose shook her head violently. The book she had been reading was suddenly thrown across her room, cracking off the wall and falling to the ground with a loud thump. The flare of anger from the memory was over powering, and she took deep breaths to try and calm it. Rose cast a cool glance around the room that was fit for a princess. Even though she didn’t need sleep, Rose had insisted on a gigantic canopy bed in her room. She moved gracefully to sit on the edge, golden yellow eyes staring unseeing out the massive wall of windows. The forest outside was dark and quiet. She stood in one fluid motion and glided gracefully to the window, opening it and stepping out and onto the balcony. She inhaled another deep breath and calmed herself even more. There was a small breeze, teasing her long blonde hair around her perfectly smooth skin. It was a perfect night, ruing by a terrible memory.
All she wanted to do was forget. Forget her old life, forget that she wasn’t human, forget that she couldn’t have kids. Forget all she ever wanted. It was a task to even try. She had been attempting to forget ever since she was turned. She sighed lightly, and her eyes fell. When she turned. It was a hard time for her, frosted with anger and anguish almost every day. Rosalie suddenly shook her head violently. She was going to forget for tonight. Even if it was only for a couple of hours. Vaulting the rail easily, she landed softly on the ground several stories below. In almost the same instant, she was off and running. As she ran, she seemed to glide across the ground, nothing more than a ghost. The wind whipped her hair back and out of her face, with a sweet smell of forest brush and pine. A tiny smile played across her lips, enjoying the moment for what it was. It was a small escape. But she would take the freedom where she could get it.

Gwen zipped up her leather jacket, and quickly snuck out of the small house. It was pretty late and she high doubt PJ would let her go out on her own. Despite the fact that she was a creature of the night, PJ was still wary of leaving her alone. Even after centuries of living. Though when they met, she really gave him no reason to trust her on her own. But a lot of things had changed since then. For one Gwen knew how to control some of her power. At least control it to the point where she won’t incinerate a building within seconds. But she understood what his concern was about and he was only acting out of love, and blah blah blah. She heard it all from him. Gwen knew he only acted this way because he treated her like his younger sister and was only trying to protect her. But just like an adolescent teenager, that she once was, she had to rebel and sneak out of the house. No doubt he heard her and probably just decided to let her go without saying anything. Glancing both ways across the street, something that was engraved into at birth, she dashed into the forest across the street within seconds. Not looking back, she kept running. There was nothing to run from, at least not in her case. She had a home, a ‘family’, and life she could call her own. She had everything she needed in this lifetime. But not everything she wanted. What she longed for.
To be human again, to be able to have the need to breathe. To be able to bleed. To be able to eat a burger without it tasting like pure garbage. To not have the desire to suck the life out of each human she meets. Then again if she were human, she would not be able to run this fast. To have this much adrenaline rush through her veins. There were so many pros and cons to the situation that it often drove Gwen nuts thinking about it. So instead of thinking about it at home, she decided to go on late night runs. The wind, the smells, and the adrenaline were all a great big distraction to her. The vampire suddenly stopped and glanced around the forest. Taking in an unneeded breath. She closed her eyes and let the rush of smells fill her nose. The mugginess of the forest mixed with the random smells of trees and grass. Every so often a slight smell of an animal would hit her. It was nice to just be able to smell everything. To be able to experience in high definition without having to actually buy an expensive TV. But she wanted to touch it. Wanted to be able to feel the trees and the grass beneath her fingers, without having to feel the leather of her protective gloves. That was yet another con about her new life. Her power. It was controlled in her hands and by her emotions. It used to be so bad that when she was in a simple bad mood, their couch would burst into flames. Now she managed to focus it all into her hands. But she had to wear protective gloves because the simple touch of her finger tips would set something…or someone on fire.
Not dwelling on her short comings, Gwen was off again into another run. This time using her nose to guide her instead of her eyes. A poor decision on her behalf. Her nose wasn’t as reliable as her eyes. She could easily run into something and wouldn’t realize until it was too late. Suddenly within seconds, she felt her body collide hard with stone. Before she could process anything, she flew backwards into a branch. The branch and her came tumbling down to the ground. If it was the wind would have been knocked right out of her. Gwen’s eyes sprang open and she jumped up to her feet. Looking around, her eyes rested on another female vampire. Great. Just what she needed. Her body tensed and she carefully watched the other vampire, not really sure how to react or what to say at that point.

The animals that were out watched as Rose quickly flitted past. She could smell them there, in hiding, all the birds, small animals, and deer. None of that really fazed her though. For a single moment in time she was free, but running this fast was her single fence. She knew she could never out run that because it tied to her vampire abilities. The one and only thing that gave her freedom now was also the iron bars to her prison. Didn’t that just figure? Right now though, she didn’t care. Instead she focused on the forest around her. The sounds and smells… anything to keep her mind off of what she really wanted to think about.
There weren’t many noises tonight. The occasional rustle of the leaves over head as a blue jay or robin hopped from one branch to another. Or the scratching at the soft dirt while a fox tries to uncover a rabbit hole. The chipping of bark as a stag tries to sharpen his antlers to impress a female. And the slightest sounds of Rose herself, as she ran quickly through the underbrush. It has just rained and the smell of the forest was rich and musty. The pine trees gave off a wonderful aroma mixed with scent of the lush earth. Nothing could compare to this. Nothing in the world could. Well except her Emmett. But that was about it and nothing else could compare. As a vampire, the world was her oyster, but that didn’t put a single thing out of her mind. Emmett did though. Thankfully. He was her light in the dark, the most important thing in her cruel life.
And yet there were still so many things she couldn’t have. A heart beat for one. She could never feel that again. In her old life there were hundreds of nights, long before Royce, were she would just lie with her hand over her heart. She loved the feeling of her heart beat. Knowing she could love someone with every beat it made. She loved the idea of love. So of course when Royce came along, she thought she was in love. She realized now that it was nothing. Then she turned and hated the very beginning of her vampire life. And since there had been nothing but sheer loathing. She couldn’t have kids. That was maybe the biggest disappointment for her. One that loomed over her head for years now. There was no changing that. No having kids of her own. She often fantasized about the way her and Emmett’s kids would look like had they been able to have them. More often than not she pictured two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. A boy with Emmett’s brown hair and muscle and a girl with her blonde hair and looks. Rosalie longed for these dreams to become reality. But, alas, never in her lifetime. Not anymore.
Rose stopped suddenly. She swore she could’ve heard something. All her thoughts vanished and she listened intently for a moment. Not hearing anything Rosalie moved forward carefully. As she moved closer in the direction of the sound, she smelled the scent of another vampire. Rose took one step at a time as she heard the sound getting closer. Finally she stopped as another female vampire came into view. At first, Rose though the girl would go right past her. But she realized that the girl wasn’t paying attention. Rose’s hand flew quickly to her mouth when the other girl collided with a sickening crunch against a rather large boulder. Rose knew the other girl wasn’t hurt, but still. A sound like that was enough to make anyone cringe. And if that wasn’t bad enough the poor girl then went flying into a branch. Life as a vampire just sucked sometimes (no pun intended).
Moving forward warily, Rose wanted to make sure that the girl at least was all right. Even vampires could have some issues. She stopped a couple of feet away. Rose was just close enough to the other female, but was far enough away to move quickly should the girl think her a threat. Rosalie didn’t flinch when the girl jumped to her feet. The poor thing looked a little embarrassed. Though Rose was somewhat amused (I mean come on, it’s not every day a vampire ran into a rock), she curbed the emotion quickly. “Are you okay?” she asked. Her voice was still airy and aloof. She couldn’t help herself when it came to that. It was just how she was. She was, for once, honestly being extremely sincere.
She held up her hands, showing she meant no harm to the other girl. Rose was just curious. She didn’t know many other vampires outside the ones she grew up with. Rose gave the girl a cool smile. “You know, it would be a lot less dangerous if you kept your eyes open,” |
she said. Well she did try to hide her amusement. It just wasn’t one of her strongest trait. Crossing her arms across her chest, Rose watched the other vampire like a hawk. “Uhm what are you doing out here anyway…?” Rose asked, looking at the other girl with a curious look. “And who are you? I’ve never seen you around.” Now she was giving off a bit of that princess vibe. But then again, if the jewelry didn’t scream that she didn’t know what did. Gwen could not believe she just did that. Honestly running into a tree, alone would have been better. At least she would be alone then and nobody would have witnessed her embarrassing fall. “Other than a little embarrassed, I’m fine,” Gwen answered hostility leaking into her tone. She didn’t mean to since the other vampire did seem sincere. But it was her default setting. Hostile and sarcastic. It was the reason she was alone nowadays. With her only friend being her brother PJ. But for some reason lately she had been running into the most random of vampires. And why vampires? She understood running into humans since humans were out more and SHOULD over populate the planet. But lately the vampire population seemed to increase. More so than it should. Unless it wa the year of the vampire and they all just decided to crawl out of the shadowy corners of the planet.
The female vampire examined the other closely. Her eyes were gold, so she was a veggie vamp like herself. But she was still a vamp, and Gwen still didn’t like them. No matter what their dieting habit was. Thinking about it now, that’s probably why she’s alone. After all the most hostile vampires have more friends than she does. “Well I was hoping my other senses would kick in the higher gear. You would think being a monster from hell, and all, you would have better sense of direction with or without your eyes being open.” Gwen shrugged as she pushed some dirt from her leather jacket. The brunette vampire wondered if the other loved her vampire nature. Though for some reason veggie vampires held more resent over their nature than the red eyed ones. Probably because those revel in their nature and absolutely loved draining humans. You know like how murders loved taking human life. It was all the same in Gwen’s mind.
The brunette glared at the blonde, it wasn’t any of her business what she was doing out here. Though Gwen wasn’t doing anything illegal or something she would want to keep a secret. But still the blonde vampire was pretty direct with her questioning and that irked Gwen. Even though acted the same way with other people. “I was wondering how far I could run before I reached the end of the world,” Gwen answered sarcastically, folding her arms over her shoulders. It was kind of true. She was running around aimlessly. But not to the extent that she was talking about. The girl was once again going into default mode. It was a wonder PJ wasn’t sick of her. Honestly, if she would have thrown herself out a long time ago. Crazy how different certain people acted. Though it seemed to be based on their past and how they handle all the awful memories.
Again with the direct questions. Well, she never! “It is common courtesy to say your name before you ask the other person. Just a tip on social etiquette.” Well this was going to go south fast, well if the other girl took sarcasm and hostility the wrong way. Then again who would take that the right way? Crazy people probably. The ones that actually stuck around to have conversations with this hostile vampire. Those crazy people were rare and far in between. Oh well, Gwen wasn’t really complaining about it. If they couldn’t hack it when they first meet her than they certainly couldn’t deal with her on a daily basis. On a daily basis she was crazy. More so than this. Between her hunger, emotions, default mode, and after work mode…it was amazing no one tried to kill her yet. Again, why did PJ keep her around? Maybe to remind himself how wonderful he was. Which wasn’t something PJ would do, he was just nice. Too nice.
Gwendolyn stared at the other vampire, taking in the outfit for the first time. Ah! A high maintenance kind of female. Those were the second type of beings that irritated Gwen. Well this new vampire was just in for a very rude awakening. A high maintenance vampire with a direct personality. If it wasn’t for the first two things Gwen could honestly see this turning into a very good friendship. Unfortunately that was not the case. Unless the girl had a hard shell and managed to break the wall that was Gwen, then the two could be friends. But she wasn’t getting her hopes up for anything. It was still a surprise the blonde was still standing in front of her honestly. Unless she liked the verbal abuse.

A small smirk slipped on her lips, mostly at the other girl’s hostility towards her. This was probably why Rose was never that nice to start with. Especially when she didn’t get it back. “Now, now, don’t get yourself all tied in a knot because you just happen to be clumsy,” |
she sneered back at the other girl. She wanted to be a bitch. Fine. Rose knew bitch very very well. She should after all. At the girl’s next statement, Rosalie couldn’t help but let out a laugh. Around anyone from her family it would have been light and airy. But this was bitter and knowing. “Welcome to the life of a vampire. Not as great as it’s all cracked up to be is it?” she said, bitterness dripping from each word and syllable as she spoke it. Most people made the mistake of thinking golden eyed vampires despised being a vampire. Which was wrong. They just despised having to take the life force of a human when there are plenty of other things out there that have blood as well. As a matter of fact, her entire coven were vegetarians and they all actually enjoyed being vampires, for the most part. In fact, Rose was the only one in her family that hated her new life. But that was just how things went sometimes. Rose noticed the glare from the other vampire and she glared back just as coldly. There was a hesitation before the other girl answered Rose’s question about what she was doing out here. The words from the other vampire’s mouth were sarcastic at best. But Rose knew the feeling was generally true if you had to say it like that. “If you must know why I asked, it’s because you’re pretty close to my home,” she said acidly. Then a small smirk danced across her lips for a moment as she added, “And I’m sure you don’t want to stumble on a coven in their own territory, now do you?” Yeah, Rose knew bitch. She could take it just as easily as she could dish it. Rose let out another laugh at the girl. This time it was strictly out of amusement. “It’s also social etiquette to be polite when someone asks if you’re okay. Or when meeting for the first time. Of course, you must know nothing about that, huh?” she said, an amused smile still in place. Please. THIS girl wanted to tell Rose of social etiquette. As a human, that was all Rose was! She needed to act like a lady, and talk like a lady, take orders from men. Please! Rose dripped social etiquette. And considering Rose was at the top of the social ladder back then (still kind of was but that didn’t count), she was the picture of etiquette, and was a role model to basically everyone. It was what made her so shallow back then. Of course it was. But hey, she was still sort of shallow. Rose noticed the other girl staring at her outfit. She was a bit glamorously dressed to be out in the woods. But Rose was a bit glamorous herself. And if she was going to go out, she might as well go out to be noticed. Though she wasn’t exactly high-maintenance as most people, and the girl in front of her, probably thought. Rose liked to get down and dirty on occasion. That was why she liked tinkering with cars and such. She didn’t look like the kind of girl that would do that at all… which is kind of why she did it. Smiling slightly, Rose shrugged. “Well, you best be on your way then. And if you’re trying to reach the end of the world, you’d have a better chance of it by running out toward the ocean,” she said, sarcasm slipped delicately into every word. She pointed off to her left. “The ocean is that way, by the way.” Rose smiled sweetly at the other girl. Oh the perks of being a bitch. Shit just happened like that. What could you do anyway? Not like Rose really cared at the moment. She was used to shutting people down. Gwen rolled her eyes at the girls’ initial response to her hostility. Oh, so we have a wannabe bitch. Please, Gwen could probably run circles around this chick. She didn’t know what was more annoying someone trying to out bitch her, someone totally oblivious to her attitude, or someone completely and utterly normal. Probably the last one. Yea, definitely the last. The other ones Gwen could deal with. But a normal person, well that was just out of the question. “Yea, they don’t really advertise well. They should really mention a potential side effect of missing your human life.” Her sentence dripped with heavy sarcasm but it was all very true. To be honest, Gwen was turned without knowing anything about this life. There was no warning or description of it. She just woke up one day, her family burying an empty casket for her and she was a monster. Something like that should really come with a warning.
“Oh, there are more of you?” Gwen questioned before shaking her. “Wonderful.” The brunette vampire couldn’t believe how much sarcasm she was actually using in this conversation. She really had to be careful otherwise it’ll be all used up. It wasn’t like Gwen wasn’t dense about the growing vampire population. She understood that there were more vampires. She just hoped there wasn’t more like this blonde one standing in front of her. She really didn’t want to interact with more attitude filled vampires. She could barely handle her own her attitude, let alone a whole coven’s. Well this was a very interesting turn of events. If more blonde vampires showed up, she might actually run for it. Not out of fear of death but fear of annoyance. It wasn’t like Gwen had much to lose with death. Sure she had her brother PJ and all. But that was it. The love of life turned her and left. Nobody could really stand the vampire due to her hostile nature. She would probably do PJ a favor if got herself killed. He wouldn’t have to deal with her either.
Gwen shook her head, her attention coming back to reality when the other girl laughed. Well at least someone was getting a kick out of this encounter. “You’re right. I’m so sorry I was so mean to your highness. Please accept my apology your grace,” Gwen retorted faking a bow in the other vampire’s direction. Man, Gwen was seriously in a bad mood today. It could be so many things. Bad day at work, bad day in general. She thought what Tristan would do in this situation. He always knew how to make Gwen feel better and stop using so much sarcasm. He would tell her to stop being a bitch to someone who is trying to cordial. He would say you’re being an idiot, take the friendship. And then he would proceed to hug her and everything would be slightly better. Until he decided to be an idiot and piss her off a few seconds later. It was just how it worked. But Gwen didn’t have Tristan to calm her down, she no longer had her best friend.
The girl, she really was trying here. “If you weren’t a vampire, I would like you.” It was true. Gwen generally liked the back and forth, but she was automatically inclined to dislike any other vampire. It had something to do with her hating her own nature that she couldn’t really enjoy the others like her. Except PJ. He somehow managed to weasel his way into her heart. She really didn’t know how he achieved this. It was truly a wonder. Especially since he came into her life right when she turned. That would probably explain it. He was able to befriend her before she got the mindset of hating all other vampires. Especially those with red eyes. Of course the one standing in front of her had gold eyes like her, so one would think Gwen would be inclined to at least be cordial. But no, she just stuck with one side of her personality and one side only.

Rose was honestly a bit surprised. She had really thought that she was the only one to think like that. Her hatred for the vampire lifestyle was far simpler than anything else in her life. That was the craziest part about it. Realistically, it should have been the other way around. But the world she currently lived in should’ve only existed in fairytales. But no. Of course not. She had to live it. Rosalie Lillian Hale, princess extraordinaire, had to live it. What kind of epic bullshit was that? Rose would have definitely liked to know who picked the shortest straw in the bunch for her… oh the things she would do to them. Let’s say most were hardly legal in this day and age… back in Carlisle’s day however… well, she’d say that that was a different story entirely.
She shrugged at the other girl however, watching her a little more carefully now. “No… they really don’t advertise well, you’re right. Of course, you don’t really get to read the fine print if you were turned without a choice either… I’m sure it’s in there somewhere,” |
she said, bitterness edging her voice. It was a sharp and painful truth. Though she loved Carlisle for saving her, she wished there had been some other way to do it. It wasn’t fair. She hadn’t asked for this life. The fact that Bella was, well… she hated Bella for every fiber of her being for wanting this life. Rose would very much like to trade places with the girl. Gain her humanity back. Of course it wasn’t anywhere near that simple. But boy did she wish it was. No more time for that sort of day dreaming. She had to wake up one day or another. Of course, she was going to dig her heels into the dirt and resist pretty much every form of the world she lived in now the best she could. Except Emmett of course. She rolled her perfect golden eyes at the other girl. “Of course there are. There aren’t a lot of lone nomads out there anymore. Especially with the Volturi the way they are. You’re safer with someone then you are without,” Rose said with a shrug. That was the truth entirely. She didn’t know of a lot of Vampires that traveled alone anymore. Most have at least one other vampire with them. The Volturi had been watching vampires with extraordinary closeness as of late. Even poor Alice was on edge, though she hadn’t seen much lately. Rose couldn’t help but wonder what the other girl was feeling every time she saw something happen. A vampire killed, another human who knew too much put to rest. Rose couldn’t understand it, nor did she really want to, but she hoped her sister could manage it herself. The smirk that crawled across Rose’s lips was cruel at best. The sarcasm in the brunette’s voice was seriously to die for. Rose thought it a bit immature to be so mad at someone you just met, and for literally no reason. “Fat chance,” Rose retorted with a chuckle. Sure she could act like that, but that was only for special occasions… and only with her family. But this girl didn’t even deserve that. She deserved the Ice-Cold side of her. Rose was okay with just giving her that. “You know it may work better if you groveled. I pity girls as simple as you. And all in a fuss for… what? A boy probably. It’s kind of typical.” The only reason she had even said it was because she was that angry about her ex. For a long time too. But that was before Emmett. Of course, males were the cause of girl’s problems everywhere. So it was really just a guess. Rose’s smile softened a little bit. The other girl’s statement was a little forced, but Rose knew exactly what she meant. “I know what you mean, actually. I’d like you too if you weren’t a vampire,” Rose answered the other girl. Watching the other girl, Rose wondered what had honestly made her hate the vampire life so much. What made the other girl hate this life as much as Rose did. Of course, Rose couldn’t hate it too much because she had Emmett, but all the same, this life wasn’t worth it. She wanted to be human with Emmett. To have kids. The whole nine yards of the human life. But she couldn’t have it now. Not anymore. So therefore she despised her incomplete life. She looked at the other girl and finally stuck her hand out. “I’m Rosalie, by the way. And apparently we have common ground in hating this life we were so unwittingly thrown in to,” she said, a small smile still in place. If nothing else they would walk away from each other without much of anything. But Rose was honestly dying to get to know the girl who hated being a vampire, the girl who seemed to be almost exactly like Rose. “You’re right, probably between ‘living for eternity’ and ‘never having children’,” stated Gwen as she shrugged nonchalantly. There were many things wrong with what she was. Yea she had an awesome power over fire, was super strong, and had enhanced senses. But her emotions were also enhanced; something the woman wasn’t prepared for. Not to mention that she lives longer than any human she ever loved. Along with the fact that she can’t have children with the guy she loves. And in a sense she gets to live in an eternity of misery. After all, the guy she loved totally abandoned her turning her. (because this is before Tristan comes to town and before she meets Blake, since she mentions Rose as her friend in both posts) There was a chance that she could be possibly happy with this life. But that required a lot of forgiving and a lot of apologizing. Something Gwen was clearly too stubborn to do. And of course Gwen had her brother PJ with her. But let’s get real here. The moment he finds the love of his life, he’ll want nothing to do with her. What kind of shifter girl wants to have her vampire boyfriend’s vampire sister living with them?
Gwen’s future was predictable honestly. Following PJ around to every corner of the world to help search for his love. Then once he finds her, Gwen will surely get the boot. Which means she’ll be on her own. So she’ll probably travel back London. Try to revisit her home town without stirring up hostile feelings and memories. And she would live all of eternity alone. Absolutely and positively alone. Yup, that was her future. She had yet to meet someone to change that. And the girl believed that no matter who she met, nothing would change that. Gwen wasn’t one for final mates, because the one she thought was her final mate had scorned her enough to believe such a thing was a myth. Clearly if final mates exist she would have found hers by now. After all she has been living two hundred years old. Granted even if she did find hers, she was too pissed at him to even be near him let alone to all the dirty things other people in love do.
Depends on what the other vampire defined as safer. Gwen would like to think being alone would be safer. There was no way of getting emotionally hurt. Not to mention you would have nobody holding you back when you are on the move. Plus when you travel with someone else, you generally want to protect them over yourself. Generally. But of course Gwen traveled with someone else. So even though in her mind being alone was safer, the girl chose to live on the edge. It wasn’t like she had much to lose at this point. “The Volturi has been going a bit crazy lately,” stated Gwen, deciding to take another route with the conversation. She rather not argue her opinions and listen to the woman tell her how she thought that Gwen was wrong. Please she’s heard it all before, from other vampires about being alone. Plus Gwen was also curious about what the other girl thought of the Volturi and their new activity. The vampire police had been cracking down lately, it seemed that someone was dying every day for some law. Plus they were on high alert thanks to those random disappearances and deaths in Seattle.
Gwen rolled her gold eyes at the blonde. This conversation was going in circles at this point. Let’s face it. They were both bitches and weren’t afraid to show it to the other. This was just going nowhere and there was zero point in Gwen replying to the girl. But of course she just had to pull out the ‘boy’ card. What did this blonde know? Yea, so what? Gwen was all tangled up because of a guy, so what? What other thing would people get tangled up about? Yea there was that whole death of a loved one thing, but vampires were pretty used to the whole death thing. So that wasn’t the problem. Obviously it had something to do with emotions. You would have to be an idiot to not realize this. “I prefer the term raging bitch over simple girl; it really has a nicer ring to it.” Gwen could totally be that typical that claims that this girl doesn’t know a thing about her, because she doesn’t. Or get defensive about the whole pity comment. But let’s get real, once again, that would basically cause this conversation to continue to go into useless circles. That would only irritate her and want to scratch the girl’s eyes out.
Gwen couldn’t be more surprised about that statement. They were on the same page and that was probably the nicest thing they have told each other since there initial run in. Gwen was a bit curious as to how this girl became so bitter over her vampire existence, like she was. Everybody has their own reasons, truly. The brunette looked down at the out stretched hand before shaking it once. Might as well make some effort to be cordial since the two seemed to have some things in common. “Gwen,” she introduced herself before letting go of Rosalie’s hand. “Never thought I would meet someone that hates their existence as much as I do.” It was true. Generally vampires loved their lives and their abilities. It was a little unheard of to hear otherwise. Sure there were some that felt guilty about the lives they took and blah blah blah. But did they really hate their life? No, probably not to the extent Gwen did.

Like we had the time to read that crap though anyway. They really shouldn’t make that print bigger,” |
she answered with a responding shrug. Truth be told, she would have loved to read the fine print, course she didn’t get that chance at all. Having been left in an alley bleeding and beaten to near death, and left for life to finish off the job. Carlisle found her there. And then she was thrown into a tail spin of bullshit. This life on the top of that list. And trying to be paired up with Edward. That was just gross. But at the time, Rose had been pissed that he didn’t look at her like a gem. And then she found Emmett and everything was as good as it was going to get. Her golden eyes lay carefully for a moment on the other girl’s face. It was common knowledge that the Volturi were out of hand lately. Rose shrugged though. “Yeah, they have been,” she answered, and pursed her lips, thinking for a moment. She then shrugged, and continued, “They’re definitely bad news though. Just as much as this recruitment thing going on in Seattle.” She knew a lot more about all that then she was letting on. But she just didn’t quiet trust this other girl yet. Because of the Cullen family, and the history they had with Volturi, Rose had quite the inside scoop on the Volturi… well Alice did anyway. Rose just had to ask her what was going on and she got any insight she needed into the goings on of the Volturi. Smirking slightly, Rose shrugged. “Whatever floats your boat,” she retorted easily. Rose realized that they were really on the same page in all this. The two weren’t really that different at all. Maybe save for the fact that Rosalie was a complete Princess and this other girl… well, Rose wasn’t sure exactly what this other girl was. At least not yet. Right now, though, they weren’t going to be getting anywhere anytime soon. That changed though with Rose’s discovery of their single commonality. Well at least what appeared to be their single commonality. Smiling, Rose dipped her head and took back her hand. “It’s nice to meet you… and I’m actually being really sincere about that,” she said with a small smile and then a short laugh. “I know what you mean. The people I’m with don’t exactly despise their lives…” The bitterness was curbed a bit in that statement. Mainly for the reason that, regardless of what she thought of this life, they were still her family never the less. And the rest was for Emmett. He really made much of this life worth it. If Rose had never met him, she didn’t know what she would do with herself, much less how she would make it through this live without him. Looking at Gwen for a second, Rose nodded her head back toward her home. “C’mon,” she said, smiling at the other girl. “If you like, we can go back to my house and talk for a bit? I’m curious to see why you hate your life as much as I hate mine. And don’t worry. I’ll tell you my story as well. Though it isn’t pleasant in the slightest.” Rose grimaced a little. The worst the other girl could say was ‘no’. But let’s face it, Rose really needed some friends. She was much too shallow to think of any humans as such. And then the only other vampires she got along with really well besides Alice were the Denali’s. Maybe it was time for a little change of pace. A vampire friend outside the Cullen and Denali clans was the perfect remedy. And the plus side? Well, Gwen hated being a vampire. That itself was already more than what the others could offer Rose. And the Queen was more than willing to take that. For the first time in her life, she was pretty much prepared to call Gwen an equal to her. And just for the commonality of hating their life style. Boy was that sad… [/div] ~:~ HOW MANY WORDS:: 699 ~:~ JUST A FEW NOTES:: its not great but whatever xD ~:~ STUCK IN MY HEAD:: BURN THIS CITY~~ Cartel

and sleep all day... template by keisha~! She didn’t comment on the whole time thing. Being suddenly bitten by your best friend doesn’t really give you the time to read that stuff. Especially when you were relatively sure you were going to die. Technically they were dead though. They didn’t breathe, couldn’t breed, cold as ice. If Gwen laid down on a hospital bed, they would think she was a corpse. A good looking corpse, but a corpse none the less. So she was dead. And really when your mind is so focused on that, you don’t get the time to read the fine print. And when you are ready to understand everything, it’s way too late. By that point you couldn’t take anything back. Just like everything else in life. There were a few vampires that thought of this life as some sort of do-over. But that was ridiculous. No matter how hard you tried your past was always a part of you. It’s just a matter of you learning from it or using it as an excuse. “You think there’s a recruitment going on in Seattle?” Gwen questioned genuinely curious. The girl had just moved to Forks, she barely knew anything about the town. Let alone all the towns outside of it. But it wasn’t a mystery that the blonde was talking about the disappearances in Seattle. That was probably the only thing Gwen did know that was going on outside of Forks. And to be honest she didn’t give it much thought, after all it really wouldn’t affect her in anyway. Her and her brother weren’t being threatened by. But something was telling Gwen the longer they stayed in Forks, the more complicated things were going to get. Gwen felt herself smile at the other girl. Okay, so it was a little shocking that Gwen was similar to this princess. They hated the life of being a vampire and they were perfectly happy being considered as bitches. At this rate they were going to end up being best friends pretty soon. Unless Gwen’s impatience got in the way. Though the more she stood here and talked to the girl, the more she started to realized that she was actually starting to like the blonde. It was strange, she normally didn’t warm up to people this quickly. And yes, this was her warming up to people. Forks was a strange place. And as previously stated earlier, things were going to get more complicated here. Gwen had no gift that showed her the future but she could feel it in her gut. Her world was going to be tossed upside down here. “Yea, you’re so not bad yourself,” Gwen stated, her smile still on her face. For some odd reason. “Yea well what can you do? Someone’s got to stay realistic about their life.” By realistic she meant bitter and stubborn. Well PJ called it bitter and stubborn. Gwen called it realistic. Why hide the fact that they can’t have children? Or the fact that the majority of them were turned without a choice. Or just the simple fact that no matter what kind of blood they drank, they were still considered monsters. Yes, Gwen was a righteous vampire and thought every vampire should drink animal blood, to spare the humans. But she wasn’t stupid. She was still a monster. She defied all logic by standing here talking and not having the need to breathe. Gwen paused for a moment really considering her options here. She could say no and walk away like she would do on a normal basis. Or she could suck it up and go with Rosalie. The blonde hated being a vampire as much as she did. Other than being a princess type Gwen didn’t really see anything wrong with the girl. And she kind of needed friends, even though she would never willing admit that. Just like she would never willing admit that it would be nice to have someone outside of PJ to talk to. And it helped that it would be a female. “Okay,” she answered and began to follow the girl. “Are any of our stories pleasant to hear?” Even for the ones that wanted this life, their stories are not pleasant. There is nothing appealing to being bitten on the neck and turned into a monster. No matter what your situation is, that alone is unpleasant and sucky. Gwen thought about it, since she was following Rosalie then that would mean she would have to open up about her life for the first time in hundreds of years. Gwen wasn’t sure how she felt about that. But hopefully once she heard Rosalie’s story she will feel more inclined to tell her story. Thinking about it further, it might actually be nice to let some of this aggression and hostility out.

she answered with an air that could kill. “Who would have thought?” She rolled her eyes. That would be the supreme irony in all this mess. That humans and vampires were exactly the same. But then she got to really thinking about that in itself. Where they really that different? Not by much honestly. Humans killed to survive, vampires killed to survive; humans killed for the hell of it, vampires killed for the hell of it. So maybe they weren’t really that different. Oh wait, she forgot about the small fact that humans had heart beats and could bear their own young. Never mind! And now that she had finished that mini rant in her head she could go on to paying attention to the conversation she was actually having. Ah, yeah the recruitment thing. Rose shrugged at the brunette. “Honestly, I think there are a lot of things going on in Seattle… but yes, a recruitment is one of them. I mean really… how many of these people can go disappearing from outside a bar or an ally without a trace of them in sight, and it STILL be considered an animal attack?” she asked and rolled her eyes slightly at the sheer thought of that. She huffed a sigh and looked at the other girl. She weighed out the pros and cons of the next bit of information in her mind. Oh what the hell right? You only live once. “Honestly, it’s because of this super-bitch named Victoria… she kinda has it out for my brother because he killed her mate… and well yeah… it’s a long story,” Rose said, waving her hand as if the whole situation was literally nothing to her. Course it was a really big deal, but it was going down, Alice already saw that, so all she could do was prepare herself for it. What else was new? Looking at the other girl, Rosalie gave her a smile back. It wasn’t often that she made friends. Well, actually, next to never did she make friends but apparently today was all about new things. Which was pretty weird, even for her. But she was honestly kind of liking it right now. Gwen was an alright girl, someone Rose could actually open up to. Mostly because the other girl had really the same exact outlook on the crappy life they were given. None the less it was still a major surprise to Rose that she even liked the girl. It had taken her a couple years still to warm up to Alice and her brothers. But for whatever reason she almost immediately liked Gwen. Yeah, there was no way she would be hearing the end of this from her siblings anytime soon. Rose smiled slightly when Gwen decided to follow her. In reality, she probably couldn’t have been any happier. Otherwise, Rose knew that she would’ve gone home and sat around all day and sulked. Which isn’t really all that attractive, so at least she was doing something for once. At Gwen’s statement, Rose shrugged. True none of their stories were really all that pleasant. How could they be? With all the fiery burning that the venom caused and what not, nothing that painful could ever really be considered pleasant. “Very true…” Rose answered, slowly, thinking about her time of change in her mind. It was definitely not a very pleasant experience at all for her. She sighed. Better now than ever right? “I got changed because of my douche bag ex fiancé,” she started bitterly. “My adopted father, Carlisle; the top surgeon at the hospital; was the one who changed me. He’s kind of like this self proclaimed martyr, and he was trying to help. That night I was walking home from a friend’s and my ex was drinking with a bunch of his friends. I walked past them and he called me over… tch, I was stupid enough to go over… and he tried to take my clothes off for all his friends…” Rose sucked in a deep but unneeded breath to steady herself and curb her anger a bit. Once she got it, she continued, “When I refused he and his friends raped and beat me and left me in the alley to die. That was when Carlisle found me… course when I woke up I really wasn’t that happy, so I took my revenge on my ex and his friends.” She smirked and looked at Gwen. “They were all relatively sure they had seen a ghost. And after that the rest is history.” She shrugged that was the condensed version yes, but all the major gory details where there. And at this point if Gwen asked a question, Rose would be willing to answer. That was another first for her. Generally, she didn’t like to talk about her story to strangers. I mean, really, it took a couple decades for her to even tell Alice.
