garrett
NICKNAME(S): Garrett, just Garrett
GROUP: nomadic vampire
ABILITY:
PERSONALITY:
Garrett's a people person. He's very open and friendlyunless you're English, willing to converse with just about anyone interesting enough. Garrett's also a patriot, and his highest values are classic American ideals. He's a very independent person and believes strongly in free will. He's got a temper and threatening those above mentioned values are about the fastest way to set it off. That said, Garret doesn't really have much respect for authority. He doesn't really subscribe himself to any set of practices or principals but his own. When Garret does care about someone or something he's loyal to the death. Granted, not many things are that important to him. The times are changing and while he knows there are things worth dying for, he's always willing to embrace the new.
Garrett loves a good fight, and he'll always support the underdog. He looks at life as an adventure waiting to happen and tries to live it to the fullest. The glass is half full, not half empty, and that's exactly how it should be. A little room always for something new. After being turned, Garret spent most of his life exploring. He likes figuring things out for himself and he has a very frontier view of the world. It's all just out there for the exploring. (After all, becoming a vampire is the universe's way of daring you to find ways to entertain yourself.) He's very curious about new things, and he'll never say no to a challenge.
RP SAMPLE:
Somehow, Garrett had never before been to Forks, Washington. I mean, it wasn't exactly on the list of exciting travel spots, but you'd think with all the vampires that seemed to congregate there, it'd have struck his personal interest. And the more he found out about it, the more it did. Right now, though, his visit had nothing to do with his world traveling ventures. He was... actually on his way to attend a funeral. (It had been a long time since he'd been able to say that.) The news of what happened to the Cullens- well, he'd found it out almost randomly. It had been a long time since he'd checked in on them and unlike the coven, Garrett was very much technologically illiterate. Luckily, the Cullens were well known in both the vampire and human communities, so finding them never gave him much trouble when he wanted to. Hearing about the battle in Forks, well it hadn't taken long to put the pieces together. And it was clear they'd been in need of some cheering up.
They were good people. He considered Carlisle one of his closest friends, despite the fact it was a wonder the two of them got along. He imagined the death must have been pretty hard on them, not being accustomed to things like that. Garrett? Well, he'd never had the pleasure to understand. As a vampire, he was very much unattached. He didn't really believe in life long mates - didn't think they existed. That whole "family" the Cullens had created, it was nice, but impractical.. A few hundred years would pass and you'd get bored. (A few months, if you were anything like Garrett.) Fresh cities, fresh faces- that was life. If there was any meaning behind the whole thing, it was a simple one. That was all there was to it. But if you had all of eternity on your side, it was keeping from getting bored.
Garrett wasn't on his guard. He was practically in the veggie vamps' back yard. It wasn't the most threatening of atmospheres. Even with a murderer running around somewhere- eh, he'd cross that bridge when he got to it. That all goes to say, he definitely wasn't prepared to be hit with a rock. And it was a hard hit too. Definitely would have put out a human.. Of course, now he was curious. Following the scent he stopped in front of a blond haired, gold eyed vampire. He'd never seen her with the Cullens, but it wasn't a stretch to guess they were why she was here. Garrett didn't know they'd adopted another one but, hey, learn something new every day. He held up the rock. "Birds are up there, you know" He pointed towards the sky. "Can't imagine what else you'd be trying to get with this." Of course, he very well knew that rock was meant for him. But why be unnecessarily hostile. She seemed to have that role covered. "Is that how you greet everyone, or am I special?"
