PERSONALITY:
Rachel has a very maternal nature about her and is extremely protective over her loved ones. Ever since her mother died, she and Rebecca have learned to take care of Jake so by default Rachel had become mature and maternal at a young age. Even to this day Rachel is much more mature than women her age. Her maternal and protective nature can get her in trouble on occasion because she tends to stick her nose in other’s business. Like a worried mother, which could cause problems with those that like to keep their business to themselves. Even though her intentions are pure.
Since she desperately wanted out of La Push after her mother’s death, Rach dove into her studies so she could get a scholarship to any college she wanted. Though not wanting to completely leave her family like Rebecca did, she applied to Washington State University. Rachel did this with her overwhelming determination, stubbornness, and very studious nature. Since she worked hard at school, she very rarely went out and had a social life. Which resulted in her being slightly awkward in social situations and not really having common sense when it comes to other people and sarcasm.
Due to this awkwardness Rachel didn’t really have many friends, which she says she is okay with. She simples chalks it up on the fact that doesn’t want to get close with anyone and needed to focus on her studies. Though now she is back in La Push and is currently stuck there due to Paul’s imprintion and her love for him. Rachel still dreams of the day she can leave the reservation, but she is slowly coming to the reality that leaving may not actually happen.
